>>1 Samuel 17:1 - 3
>>
>>1 the Philistines gathered their armies for war, and congregated in Soco, which is in Judah, and encamped between Socoh and Azekah, in Efes damim.
>>2 as well Saul and the men of Israel got together, and encamped in the Valley of Elah, and put in order of battle against the Philistines.
>>3Y Philistines were on a hill on one side, and Israel was on another mount on the other side, and the Valley between them.

I wish that we pay much attention because in this small portion of the Scriptures are very well reflected what happens in our lives today in day. How so? Think for a brief moment what you have just read to determine if what you say makes sense or not. Who were the Philistines?

I do not think that we have to think much about the matter to recognize that the Philistines were a powerful force that sought to conquer the people of Israel, and as we can see, they camped his army in the land of Judah.

The Philistines had no right any living there, since it is was the land that God had turned over his people, but now they occupied it by force and they wanted to snatch it.

I have taken the time to explore this detail that at first glance appears insignificant because when we make a comparison between what happened at that moment, and what happens in the lives of many today, soon we arrive at the conclusion that there is much difference between the events of then and today.

It is not that we have a physical army encamped around us, or camping at the door of our home, but if there is an army of principalities and powers malignant campers around us who daily try to divert us from the will of God. Watch as this is something that is very clear in Ephesians 6:12 when we read: "... Because we don't have fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly regions." So we are talking about the powers of darkness fighting without rest to try to divert us. How it operates this army?

The army of the evil one opera influencing those who surround us, and sometimes ourselves, so arise circumstances or situations that stolen us peace and joy that Christ has given us. In other words, circumstances or situations that only serve as a stumbling block in our perseverance in the faith.

But the reality of all is that as the philistine army did not have any right of camping in the land of Judah, circumstances or situations do not have any right to invade our lives since the Lord will release. Pay close attention as the Lord tells us in

>>John 8:36: "... So if the son sets you free, you will truly be free..."

The enemy army can camp us around, but they we can seize us, they can not seize what God we have turned over. They can not seize what God us has turned over because we do not belong to them, we belong to God, and God gives us the strength and power to throw them out of our lives.

But now the question which stops that many could not shed out his life those powers that appear to be invincible?

>>1 Samuel 17:4-7
>>
>>4 then left the camp of the Philistines a paladin, which named Goliath, of Gath, and height was six cubits and a span.
>>5 and wore a helmet of bronze in his head, and wearing a chain mail; and the weight of the dimension was five thousand shekels of bronze.
>>6 on his legs wore Greaves of bronze, and Javelin of brass between his shoulders.
>>7 The shaft of his spear was like a roll of loom, and had his spear iron six hundred shekels of iron; (e) his Squire in front of him was.

As we can see, here we find that the champion of the Philistines went forth to subdue and intimidate the people of God. In the description of this man found what many, if not all, would say that it is the description of a man invincible. I say this because we see that the description of this man was six cubits and a span. Do you mean this?

So that we can understand the meaning of this description will have to convert these dimensions to modern terms. A cubit is about 18 inches, what you want to say that this man average more than nine feet. But not only that, but that this man had that be an extremely strong person, since the armor that he had put weighed approximately about 125 pounds, and his spear a 15 pounds. Tell the person who you have beside you: was a strong man. The presence of this man was only somewhat intimidating and frightening.

Now I ask: does this sound known to someone? Actually all this us known must sound to all us, since on numerous occasions faithful believer will always have to face giants in our life that seem invincible. Why do they appear to be invincible?

>>1 Samuel 17:8-11
>>
>>8 I stopped and gave voices to squads of Israel, saying: for what I've put in order of battle? I am not I the philistine, and ye the servants of Saul? Choose from among you a man that comes against me.
>>9 yes e would fight me, and overcomes me, we will be your servants; and if I may more than he, and overcomes it, you will be our servants and serve us.
 >>10 and added the philistine: today I've challenged the camp of Israel; give me a man who fights with me.
>>11 HearingSaul and all Israel these words of the philistine, they troubled and had great fear.

Can you imagine as this rang the army of Israel? This man stood in front of them and basically told them that they were not worth anything; that he alone would defeat anyone who sent them. What result did this? The result was that they trembled to hear what this man was screaming, and there was a man in all the army that were willing to face him.

When we reflect for a moment on the topic, I think that everyone will agree when I say that this is exactly what happens in our lives to confront these situations or circumstances that seem invincible. Intimidation and fear rob us of our desire to serve God, they snatched us victory that Jesus gave us on the cross, and stop God's purpose for us.

I say this because as everyone here knows, we are not called to live in suffering, we are called to live in victoria. This is something that is clearly expressed in

>>1 Corinthians 15:56-57:
>> 56 "Since that the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin, the law."
 >>57 Mas thanks be given to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."</div>
