Santa Claus Parade Adventure with the Kids!

I had the fun opportunity to take the kids to the Santa Clause Parade here locally last weekend. It was a fun idea and started out great. We went with our cousins as well which is always fun.

It's damn cold here in Canada and the snow was already falling, that night it was kinda messy with wet snow and freezing rain. It was also past our kids bedtimes, since they are still quite young.

It was a bit slow to start, and they had a fireworks show which turns out only holds kids interest for about 30 seconds, then it's a whole lot of trying to get them to stand and wait, which never goes well.

Finally the parade started and there were quite a few dogs marching at different times, the kids got a kick out of that.

Some of the float also had music and speakers which was also fun.

Unfortunately some of the floats also had a hard time climbing this incline at a slow pace and fully loading. There started getting to be long delays and hold ups in the parade. Not to mention there were over 60 floats.

My Son started to lose interest.

Then more interest.

Then he didn't even want to hang out on Daddy's shoulders. He was trying to sleep on the ground at one point.

So we had to leave around the 50th float and before Santa Clause came to visit, but overall it was still a fun night and we'll try again next year when they are a little bit older and plan a little bit different as well.

It was to dark to take my kids sleeping in the back selfie when we finally got home, sorry guys!
