The composition of that first shot is certainly breathtaking. The perspective and forms of the gnarled tree really make that shot.

I did visit Vyhlídka Máj when I lived in Germany! Prague was one of my favorite places to visit and could never get enough of the old town, especially having been there when it was still Communist and going through the transition and changes for the next few years... just a couple hours to the south, Český Krumlov was another town that I loved, although I didn't get there nearly as much. I think it was also on the Vltava River, (some river, but I am pretty sure it was the same) with the beautiful castle and the architecturally stunning Baroque buildings. 

Your picture is so very beautiful! I agree that the twisting in the tree adds a degree of interest and makes the shot spectacular! When I visited with my cousin, who is from Bratislava, he knew of this place and you are right about being safe when going. As in a lot of Europe, there are no guardrails and it is assumed that people will use common sense when visiting these places. Thank you for posting this!

It truly brought back some beautiful memories!
