Have a dietary councilor who is far more knowledgeable than you. They can work out a specific diet for you, going so far as to state how many times each week you should eat certain dishes. They can provide a ratio of how much salt , etc. is acceptable, and also give you a list of certain foods to completely avoid.  All dependent on your specific situation.

Take cooking classes to learn how to properly prepare the foods you are required to eat. As my wife's aunt explained,  though she largely adhered to the diet that saved her from the cyst in her head for several years after, modern civilization does not make it easy. It makes it very difficult much of the time. Over time, she slowly but surely drifted away from it.

At the time of the breast tumor, she was working long hours for a corporation, commuting over two hours a day (round trip) and eating lunch in the company cafeteria every day. Her husband liked to dabble in gourmet cooking, and she loved the foods he made. They also began to go out to restaurants a few times a week for dinner. She very rarely cooked anything, by this time, so it took some effort to go back to the strict discipline she had achieved during her previous healing.
