**Spring is showing her face more and more, and the coming week the weather will invite and lure a lot of people to sit down, enjoy the bright early beams of the sun while having a nice glass of alcohol! During these special moments where they watch other people pass by and they zip from their drink Death is lurking and getting closer with every gulp of beer and wine!**

**You see, research showed that drinking alcohol is a Bad BAD thing! I always learned that drinking one glass of alcohol a day would not hurt you and could even help to keep your health on a good level! 
I wonder if I ever learned one thing that was not proven wrong a few years later! ((My head keeps spinning with all these changes!))
This new study, which included Jeremy Pearson, a researcher at the British Heart Foundation, shows that people who drink more than seven alcoholic drinks a week die much younger than those who remain completely sober. ((Do they die happy at least?))**

**With every glass, you add to your daily intake, the risk increases. For this study, they looked at an average man at the age of forty! When he drinks fourteen drinks a week from the age of forty - a guideline for a healthy life in the United States -(( I think they get it! Age forty brings lots of reasons to drink! 28 might be a better number!)) he will die at least two years earlier than a male who does not consume alcohol at all. ((No kids perhaps? No job that brings so much stress you end up slamming your head against the wall?)) In this way, each glass shortens the life expectancy of a 40-year-old by 30 minutes.**

**"This means that who cares about a long life, simply has to check their alcoholic behavior," states alcohol researcher David Jernigan of the American Johns Hopkins University.**

**For this study, 83 studies in different countries with data from nearly 600,000 alcohol drinkers were pit together and compared! 
In the Netherlands, the Health Council's advice on responsible drinking is consistent with the outcome of the study: do not drink alcohol, or at most one glass a day. In other countries, that limit is much higher. ((Lucky us! Or at least for those in the Netherlands who read these things! Like me! Why again?))**

**While I always read this kind of studies, they also make me shake my head! For a long time now, I feel like the world is trying to scare us for everything we have and do! We should be thankful they want us all to live longer right? Honestly, I don't drink at all, and I never did! I tried a few beers in my past and even sniffed on a few glasses of wine! I have seen people drunk to a point where they no longer could stand, and I have seen people relax and feel good! I never loved nor enjoyed the taste nor the feeling it gave me in my head! (( I have no kids maybe that explains a lot! :P ))**

**I think the 'health movement' is taking things way too far these days!  I do understand that living a good life is important but good lord, please let us make our own bad mistakes!**
