Piccolissimo tip per riconoscere chi non ha mai studiato inglese

Ciao ragazzi, è da un po' che non scrivo, questo mese devo centellinare con cura il mio tempo libero per non lasciare nulla indietro.

Volevo trattare il tema di oggi da un po' di tempo, in realtà ci sono diversi argomenti quindi potrebbe esserci un seguito.

*Al giorno d'oggi, per avere successo, la conoscenza dell'inglese non è importante, è **fondamentale***.
Non dico avere avere un livello C3 certificato che, ovviamente, non è ancora comunissimo, ma almeno un B2 è il requisito minimo per essere preso in considerazione.

**Il livello B2 è il più alto livello ottenibile per quanto riguarda le competenze da persona non madrelingua**.
**Il livello C, oltre ad essere un corso più approfondito, certifica le tue capacità di partecipare a una discussione completa con una persona madrelingua ed essere in grado di collegare diverse tematiche in un'unica discussione senza difficoltà.**

*Dopo questa digressione, vi lascio il tip per distinguere chi ha studiato (si parla addirittura di livello elementare) l'inglese da chi invece l'ha imparato per strada, a lavoro o per osmosi.*

**CHIEDETEGLI DI FARE UNA DOMANDA COL VERBO AVERE**
Sarete sorpresi dal numero di persone che vi chiederà *Do you have?*. Ragazzi, "do you have?" è una trashata totale, gergo, un'americanata, chiamatelo come volete ma non domanda col verbo avere.

**In inglese ci sono 3 verbi che non usano il "*do*" per formulare le domande: verbo essere (**to be**), verbo avere (**to have**) e verbo potere/essere in grado di (**to can**).
Le domande con questi 3 verbi vengono formulate semplicemente invertendo verbo e soggetto:
* You are serious! => *Are you serious*?
* You have got a cat! => *Have you got a cat*?
* You can ride a bike! => *Can you ride a bike*?

Sono stufo di sentire persone professarsi esperte di inglese perché guardano le serie TV in inglese o hanno lavorato 3 mesi in Inghilterra. Se vuoi andare in giro a dire che conosci l'inglese (ripeto, si parla di basi di grammatica elementare), prenditi la briga di studiare, fai un corso o compra un libro di inglese delle scuole elementari.

Vi allego la foto del libro che tuttora uso per ripassare quando ho dei dubbi o quando ho bisogno di consolidare delle conoscenze.

La prossima volta magari vi parlerò delle risposte alla domanda "*What do you like to do in your free time*?" 😂😂😂

Ho assorbito l'inglese fin da piccolo e ho fatto alcuni soggiorni all'estero tra cui un bel mese in Irlanda che ha fatto esplodere la mia padronanza con la lingua.

*L'unico neo rimane forse la fluenza, che si smussa con la pratica, però standosene prevalentemente in zona italica non si può fare molto...*

Per lo meno Steem aiuta, leggo praticamente solo post inglesi :D

Hai fatto benissimo, ti invidio un po', è un'esperienza che avrei voluto fare da giovanissimo. 

Al neo della fluenza aggiungo quello della fonetica, per chi ha degli accenti molto marcati (come me che sono sardo) è davvero difficile raggiungere livelli elevati. 

Al giorno d'oggi comunque essere in grado di capire tutto di una discussione e saper rispondere in maniera corretta è più che sufficiente per emergere tra la massa di finti esperti di inglese. 😁😁

Steem aiuta un botto e lo uso moltissimo anche per quello!

L'uso di "Do you have...?" Non è di per sé sbagliato, semplicemente è utilizzato in una varietà d'inglese differente da quella che tu stai o hai studiato.

Inoltre il verbo "have" ha più funzioni (vedi "have to do smth") il discorso si fa più ampio.

Attenzione, non confondiamo da subito, ho scritto degli esempi anche per quello. Io ho parlato della forma interrogativa del verbo avere. "Have you got" e stop, tu stai parlando di casi in cui il verbo avere fa da ausiliare ed è tutto un altro paio di maniche.
Stai tranquillo che in nessun libro di inglese troverai scritto che "hai un gatto?" si scrive "do you have a cat?", ma sono pronto ad essere sorpreso 😂😂

Non ho capito il riferimento alle varietà di inglese. La grammatica è quella e stop, il resto è solo slang e americanate valide solo nel parlato o nel linguaggio da social, non trovano riscontro in nessuna regola grammaticale. 😊

1)"Do you have a pen?" Quella che tu chiami "trashatata" è quasi standard nella varietà inglese americana, anzi se vai a cercare nei forum vedrai che "have you got...?" È vista come forma antiquata. Se vai su COCA (Corpus of Contemporary English) addirittura "do you have?" è più utilizzato di "have you got". Segno che le cose stanno cambiando e tra non molto anche la grammatica si adeguerà.

2) per varietà americana, s'intende quel tipo d'inglese che ha riconoscimento a livello linguistico. Ha i suoi vocaboli, qualche struttura sintattica differente, modi di dire differenti, accenti diversi.
Non è americanata, è proprio un tipo di diverso di inglese.

Hai perfettamente ragione, e questo ragionamento si può applicare più o meno similarmente in tutti i settori, soprattutto nel mondo di oggi, che corre al ritmo di "Impara l'inglese in 24 ore" oppure di "Impara a fare siti in 7 giorni" e nelle diverse variabili.

Purtroppo per me a scuola studiai francese, non per mia scelta, ma perché all'epoca la scuola poteva scegliere di far studiare una lingua piuttosto che un'altra ad alcune persone, per ottimizzare la loro organizzazione interna. Insomma se tutti gli studenti sceglievano inglese e rimaneva vuola la sezione di francese la scuola poteva imporre lo studio del francese ad alcuni studenti scelti con criteri loro, di solito a sorteggio. Bella fregatura per me all'epoca. E quel peso lo porto appresso anche oggi.

Certo le possibilità di imparare la lingua oggi sono molte, ma all'epoca non erano così tante e con il passare degli anni la capacità di apprendimento si affievolisce. Unendo ciò al fatto che di cose da studiare, anche per rimanere aggiornato nel mio lavoro, ce ne sono tantissime, non ho mai potuto approfondire la conoscenza dell'inglese come avrei voluto.

Ho imparato l'inglese da autodidatta, soprattutto grazie a internet: quando ero giovane Internet era SOLO in inglese (all'epoca non esisteva il web, cioè internet come si usa oggi, con la grafica ed in broswer, ma gli schermi dei pc rimanevano neri con il cursore, di solito verde, più raramente bianco, lampeggiava in attesa dei comandi. Le immagini prima le scaricavi sul tuo pc con il comando apposito e poi le aprivi se avevi installato il software giusto perché non esisteva uno standard.

Oggi capisco l'inglese scritto, abbastanza bene, soprattutto quello tecnico della mia professione, molto meno gli slang che trovo nelle chat e nei post. Lo scrivo ad un livello indecente ma, penso, comprensibile, lo parlo poco e capisco il parlato ancora meno.

Ma mi rendo conto ogni giorno che in giro c'è tantissima gente che dichiara di parlare inglese quando in realtà a volte lo sa meno di me, incluso un mio vecchio "boss" che scriveva "Tim Leader", ma si professava anglofono. Io dico sempre che non parlo inglese. Anche perché per me, che tendenzialmente sono un perfezionista, parlare una lingua significa padroneggiarne tutte le sfumature, capirne ogni coloritura ed interpretare il non detto esplicitamente, quello che oggi si chiama tecnicamente C2. Lo so esagero ma nella mia professione la competenza linguistica è fondamentale, anzi lo sarebbe, e spesso non mi sembra sufficente neanche quella che ho in italiano :)

Ci mancherebbe, io non mi riferivo alle scorse generazioni che hanno ricevuto educazione e insegnamento differenti. Il mio attacco era rivolto ai miei coetanei, diciamo quelli nati dal 1990 in poi che fingono grosse competenze che non impiegano tanto tempo a crollare.

Questo comportamento ha l'unico obbiettivo di essere presi in considerazione durante la ricerca di un lavoro, per farti un esempio.

Come hai detto, questo problema è presente in tanti settori e lavori, io non volevo divagare troppo e ho trattato questo che mi irrita non poco.
