Come back again with me in the Steem Travelers community. In this post I want to review one of the most popular natural tourist destinations in North Aceh district. North Aceh Regency, which is located in the northern coastal area of ​​Aceh province, has a number of beautiful natural tourist destinations.

The local government continues to develop programs in the fields of tourism and culture. Not only is it famous as one of the centers of the spread of Islam through the Samudera Pasee kingdom. North Aceh Regency with all its historical traces also has beautiful nature.

In addition to cultural and religious tourism, the government is also developing the field of natural tourism. Geographically, Aceh Utara district has high and lowlands, coastal and mountainous areas. A number of natural tourist spots continue to be developed to increase economic income from the tourism sector.

The development of governance in the tourism sector also has an impact on supporting economic income for the local population. One of the most popular alan tourist destinations by the community is ***Rayap Waterfall*** tourism. This tour is located in the interior of the forest of North Aceh with a number of stunning natural beauty.

Besides being favored by adventurers, this tour is also a type of tour that can be enjoyed with the family. This waterfall is located in *Panton Rayeuk Sa Village, Kuta Makmur District, North Aceh Regency*. It is about 30 minutes drive from downtown Lhokseumawe.

This destination is always crowded to visit every weekend. But in my photo it doesn't look so crowded, because we went on a wednesday. A specially planned itinerary to enjoy the beautiful nature without the crowds.

If traveling from the direction of the city of Lhokseumawe, you can pass the *Buloh Blang Ara* road. Meanwhile, if traveling from the east of *Lhoksukon City*, you can pass through *Jalan Elak*. From these two tracks you can go to the *Bereughang - Nisam* road.

Along the way, you will pass settlements and plantation areas of residents. Don't worry, the location of this  ***Rayap Waterfall***  has been detected on google maps. So you can follow the route directions recommended by google maps.

For the track, you will pass a number of roads with asphalt and gravel. Some points of the asphalt road are smooth and some other points you may find potholes and gravel roads. Arriving at the tourist location, you can park your vehicle in the parking area provided.

In this place there is a security guard who will guard your vehicle. Get an entrance ticket to the  ***Rayap Waterfall*** tour at a price of 5000 Rupiah per person. Save your parking number and redeem it when you get it back.

The journey is not finished, when you arrive at the parking lot, you have to walk and go down the hill. This clay path has been dredged and made as a way to get to the location of the waterfall. When going down the hill, you will hear the sound of the waterfall splashing.

Less than 10 minutes walk, you have arrived at the location of this waterfall. Along the river there are various huts/kiosks selling a variety of food and drinks. The rest area that stands lined up along the river is a trade transaction taking place.

With the existence of nature tourism that is managed wisely, local residents can feel the impact. They sell here and earn profits to increase their standard of living. Meanwhile, visitors can enjoy the services and natural beauty.

Basically this waterfall is adjacent to ***Blang Kulam Waterfall***. Both locations are on the same river. It's just that, this waterfall is at the top, while ***Blang Kulam Waterfall*** is at the bottom, it takes extra energy to get there, you have to go down hundreds of stairs.

One of the highlights of  ***Rayap Waterfall***  tourism is that it has a clear river flow. This location is easier to reach than the location of ***Blang Kulam Waterfall***. Here there are also good photo spots with beautiful natural scenery.

This river also has large rocks that meet along the river flow. The natural process makes the bottom of the river there are small rocks. At some point in the flow, these small stones freeze hard like mortar.

This river is not so deep, with a flow that is not heavy making you to bathe and swim comfortably. Another beauty offered is, a waterfall that has several levels. The level of the waterfall is not too high, so we can enjoy the flow below.

It's fun, enjoying the college holidays with friends. That day we also grilled chicken and enjoyed it together in this beautiful river. We took a bath, enjoying the coolness of the naturally clear water.
