<h4>~Overview About Plankton~</h4>

One of the greatest marine ecosystems is the sea. In the sea live dozens of different types of biota interact. These interactions occur mutually sustainable. There are millions of biotics and abiotics whose lives depend on each other. The sea as a place of life for organisms has given an example to the interactional relationships that occur therein. The process of interaction is the occurrence of energy cycles anatara one organism with other organisms. The results of these interactions can then be reused in the environment. The interaction process is then called the food chain. One of the living creatures that is included in marine biota is plankton. [**Plankton**](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plankton) is one type of living thing has an important role in marine life. The balance of marine ecosystems can be disrupted if plankton life becomes reduced.

In plankton greek language means something floating. Plankton belongs to one of the living biota, floats itself, and they can not resist the current. Any drifting organism belongs to plankton classes such as animals, plants, archaea, which live in the oceans, freshwater and the sea. Plankton has a very diverse size ranging from the smallest to the largest. There are 3 classifications of plankton by size ie, Ultraplankton, Nanoplankton, and Netplankton. Ultraplankton has an exchange <0.005 micro, Nanoplankton size 60-70 micro, and Netplankton can be several millimeters. While the largest type is macro plankton. Macro groups of plankton in the form of animals and plants.

Plankton life is grouped according to their own classification. Plankton is one type of marine biota that is able to provide a source of food for other living things. The size is also very diverse, even jellyfish are also included into the plankton organism. Thus plankton is the only type of marine biota that provides an important role to support life in the waters. One type of plankton that is capable of producing food is phytoplankton. Through the process of photosynthesis, phytoplankton able to produce organic materials for life in the waters and continuing the high level of life up to humans. Nevertheless, its growth must also be controlled so as not to adversely affect the environment. Plankton life is divided into two types namely, Zooplankton and Phytoplankton.

[**Zooplankton**](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zooplankton) is a biota that plays an important role in the marine food chain. Some large eggs and larvae of animals, such as fish, annelids, and crustaceans are included in some of the Zooplankton samples. Zooplankton is the key of the camel to transfer life energy from the primary producer level to the first consumer, such as marine mammals, marine fish, turtles, and other animals. Zooplankton is derived from the Greek word meaning "zoo" is "animal", like crustaceans and other animals that eat other plankton and telonemia.

[**Phytoplankton**](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phytoplankton) are vegetable microorganisms that can live floating in the water. His movements are influenced by movements that occur in the water. This geni plankton is also called the vegetable plankton. They are the kind of plants that live floating or floating in the ocean. Phytoplankton in general size 0.002-0.200 millimeters. They belong to a group of living things that are single-celled. Phytoplankton is one of the food contributors to other living things. The amount is quite high. Because of its ability to produce its own food, in the food chain level of marine biota, phytoplankton acts as the primary producer. Phytoplankton comes from the Greek word meaning plants, prokaryotes, algae, and other species that live close to the surface of the ocean water where there is no light to perform the process of photosynthesis.

<h4>~Plankton Energy Source~</h4>

Untum can survive plankton in dire need of various types of needs. There are several factors that support plankton life, including physical factors and chemical factors. Light, brightness, movement of water, and water temperature are physical factors that can affect the life of plankton. While in dissolved oxygen, salinity, nutrients and ph is a chemical supporting factor. Both of these factors have an important role for the survival of plankton biota.

Plankton is one of the living things that live in the ocean. Plankton is divided into two namely, zooplankton and phytoplankton. Although most living creatures as small role in biota, palnkton actually has a very important role to control the food chain in the ecosystem ocean occur.

<h4>~Gambaran Umum Tentang Plankton~</h4>

Salah satu tempat kehidupan ekosistem terbesar adalah laut. Di laut hidup puluhan jenis biota yang saling berinteraksi. Interaksi tersebut terjadi saling berkesinambungan. Ada jutaan biotik dan abiotik yang hidupnya saling bergantungan satu sama lainnya. Laut sebagai tempat hidup bagi organisme-organisme telah memberikan contoh terhadap hubungan interaksi yang terjadi didalamnya. Proses interaksi tersebut terjadinya daur energi anatara satu organisme dengan organisme yang lain. Hasil dari interaksi tersebut kemudian dapat dimanfaatkan kembali dalam lingkungan. Proses interaksi tersebutlah yang kemudian disebut dengan rantai makanan. Salah satu makhluk hidup yang termasuk dalam biota laut adalah plankton. [**Plankton**](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plankton) merupakan salah satu jenis makhluk hidup memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan laut. Keseimbangan ekosistem laut akan dapat terganggu apabila kehidupan plankton menjadi berkurang. 

Dalam bahasa yunani plankton mempunyai arti sesuatu benda yang mengapung. Plankton termasuk kedalam salah satu jenis biota yang hidup mengapung,  menghanyutkan dirinya, dan mereka tidak dapat melawan arus. Setiap organisme yang hanyut termasuk kedalam golongan plankton seperti hewan,  tumbuhan, archaea,  yang hidup di samudera,  air tawar maupun laut. Plankton memiliki ukuran yang sangat beranekaragam mulai dari yang paling kecil hingga yang terbesar. Ada 3 klasifikasi plankton menurut ukurannya yakni, Ultraplankton, Nanoplankton, dan Netplankton. Ultraplankton memiliki ukaran <0,005 mikro,  Nanoplankton berukuran 60-70 mikro,  dan Netplankton dapat berukuran beberapa milimeter.  Sedangkan jenis yang terbesar adalah makro plankton. Kehidupan plankton dikelompokkan menurut klasifikasi mereka masing-masing. Plankton adalah salah satu jenis biota laut yang mampu menyediakan sumber makanan bagi makhluk hidup lain. Ukurannya pun sangat beragam-ragam,  bahkan ubur-ubur juga termasuk kedalam organisme plankton. Dengan demikian plankton adalah satu satunya jenis biota laut yang memberi peran penting untuk menunjang kehidupan di perairan. Salah satu jenis plankton yang mampu memproduksi makanan adalah fitoplankton. Melalui proses fotosintesis, fitoplankton mampu memproduksikan bahan organik untuk kehidupan diperairan dan berlanjut ketingkat kehidupan yang tinngi sampai kepada manusia. Meskipun demikian,  pertumbuhannya juga harus dapat dikendalikan agar tidak memberikan dampak buruk terhadap lingkungan. Kehidupan plankton terbagi kepada dua jenis yakni, Zooplankton dan Fitoplankton.

[**Zooplankton**](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zooplankton) adalah biota yang memiliki peran penting dalam rantai makanan dilautan. Beberapa telur dan larva hewan besar, seperti ikan, annelida,  dan krustasea adalah termasuk kedalam beberap contoh Zooplankton. Zooplankton adalah kunci untama untuk mentransferkan energi kehidupan dari tingkat produsen utama hingga kekonsumen pertama,  seperti mamalia laut,  ikan laut,  penyu,  dan hewan terbesar lainnya. Zooplankton berasala dari bahasa yunani yang berarti "zoo" adalah "hewan", seperti krustasea dan hewan lainnya yang memakan plankton yang lain dan telonemia.

[**Fitoplankton**](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phytoplankton) adalah mikroorganisme nabati yang dapat hidup melayang-layang di dalam air. Gerakannya dipengaruhi oleh gerakan yang tetjadi didalam air. Plankton jeni ini disebut juga dengan plankton nabati.  Mereka adalah jenis tumbuhan yang hidupnya mengapung atau melayang di lautan. Fitoplankton pada umumnya berukuran 0,002-0,200 milimeter. Mereka termasuk kedalam golongan makhluk hidup yang bersel satu.  Fitoplankton adalah salah satu penyumbang makanan bagi makhluk hidup yang lain. Jumlahnya terbilang cukup tinggi. Karena kemampuaanya yang mampu memproduksi makanan sendiri,  dalam tingkatan rantai makanan biota laut,  fitoplankton berperan sebagai produsen primer. Fitoplankton berasal dari bahasa yunani yang berarti tumbuhan,  prokariotik, alga,  dan jenis lain yang hidup dekat dengan permukaan air laut dimana ada terdapat cahaya untuk melakukan proses fotosintesis. 

<h4>~Sumber Energi Plankton~</h4>

Untum bisa bertahan hidup plankton sangat membutuhkan berbagai jenis kebutuhan. Ada bebepa faktor penunjang kehidupan plankton, diantaranya faktor fisik dan faktor kimia. Cahaya,  kecerahan, pergerakan air,  dan temperatur air adalah faktor fisik yang mampu mempengaruhi kehidupan plankton. Sedangkan dalam oksigen terlarut, salinitas,  nutrisi dan ph merupakan faktor penunjang dari segi kimia.  Kedua faktor tersebut memiliki peranan penting untuk kelangsungan hidup biota plankton.

Plankton adalah salah satu jenis makhluk hidup yang hidup melayang-layang di lautan. Plankton dibedakan menjadi dua yakni,  zooplankton dan fitoplankton. Meskipun sebagai makhluk hidup yang paling kecil dalan biota perairan, palnkton justru memiliki peran yang sangat penting untuk mengendalikan rantai makanan yang terjadi dalam ekosistem dilautan.
