# Introduce Citizen Journalist Training Activities

 This is the story of my journey when meeting great people in an activity.  This story began when I received an information about recruiting participants to take part in citizen journalist training.  I never thought I could get the opportunity to take part in citizen journalist training activities.  Shortly after a few weeks after filling out the form / applicant for the activity, I was contacted by the committee and stated as one of the participants who passed the training.  This is where the great story begins.

 This activity was carried out in a hotel in Banda Aceh City. After getting an invitation from the committee, I decided to go to Banda Aceh the day before the activity began.  I happened to live in the city of Lhokseumawe, it took about 6 hours to arrive in Banda Aceh by land.

 This citizen journalist training was carried out by an environmental agency WWF Sumatra in collaboration with one of the local mass media in Aceh, namely [AcehSatu.com](https://acehsatu.com).  This event lasts for 2 days.  The participants who participated in this activity came from North Aceh, Aceh Tamiang, Bireun, Langsa City, and Bener Meriah.

 During this activity I and other participants were provided with knowledge about how to write in accordance with the provisions and methods of journalism.  Participants were guided directly by senior journalists and professionals who were registered as reporters on the AcehSatu.com media, namely Yusmadi Yusuf.  This activity aims to train prospective journalists to develop their talents in writing participants so that they can make news reports about environmental events that occur in the area where each participant lives.

 This activity certainly has a considerable impact to disseminate information about environmental issues to the public.  With reports directly from citizen journalists, it is hoped that the information can also help the government in taking policies to deal with the problems that are occurring.

# What is WWF?

 [World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)](https://id.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dana_Dunia_Untuk_Alam) is an international non-governmental organization that focuses on addressing issues regarding conservation, research and environmental restoration.  During this time the WWF regional Sumatra-Aceh has dealt with many environmental problems that occurred in the Sumatra-Aceh region.  A serious problem that has been handled by WWF is resolving animal conflicts with the community, hunting protected animals and forest conservation.  This citizen journalist training activity is part of the Share Resource, Joint Solutions (SRSJ) program.

 # What is AcehSatu.com?

 [AcehSatu.com](https://acehsatu.com/tentang-kami/) is a cyber media founded on 30 July 2015 under the legal entity of PT.  Aceh Satu Media.  This media is committed to presenting actual and reliable information for the people of Aceh.  In addition, this media will also be a counterweight to the flow of information and inspiring information servants for the community.  They are local media that have professional and experienced journalists.  At the citizen journalist training program, AcehSatu.com was given the trust to be the executor and the speaker.

 # I Meet Great People

 In this activity I have met some great people.  Moreover, because this activity was carried out in a hotel, it was possible for me to interact with many people.  Because this hotel is one place that is often used by the government / organization / community to carry out business activities or meetings.

 # Opportunity for me to do #promo-Steem

 Every morning and evening I always take the time to sit in the lobby room.  Of course what I hope for is to interact socially with the people who are here.  Here I meet people from different backgrounds.  Among them are journalists, government employees, ordinary people, students, entrepreneurs, and business people.

 There are many people I have met here and not many I remember his name.

 Every time there is an opportunity to chat with them I always talk about Steem.  I say many things about what they can do Steem and what rewards they will get.  My final goal is to let them know a lot about Steem and hope that one day they will join Steem.

 One thing that is quite encouraging is when they respond well to what I am explaining.  I was asked many things about Steem.  As usual their questions are not far from What is Steem?  How to join Steem?  What can I do in Steem?  and why should I join Steem?

 I responded well to each question asked me.  I try my best to make them understand Steem.  I describe it all with the Steemit platform and tell them that there are many things you can do in Steemit.

 > "You can do a lot of things in Steem, such as you choose to become contributors by sharing content and getting rewarded, or maybe you choose to become an investor, raise funds, invest, developers and many other things you can do. Are you a journalist,  writers, novelists, bloggers, vloggers, travelers, teachers, entrepreneurs and whoever you are, you can join steem and enjoy the many benefits there ".  I told them.

 I also taught them in a demo about how to register in Steem and introduce various platforms in Steem that they can participate in to become creator content.

 For your information (the Steem community) I am someone who is very active in doing promo-steem in 2018. I have many things that have not been achieved.  In this year I plan to continue it again and start at the beginning of October.  Thus, I hope for support from various parties to carry out the mission.

 # Support Me for the Next Mission

 The next mission I want to bring great and active students is organized to enter Steem and become an amazing creator content.  There will be a special post to explain this.  I outline things related to how I will do it and what you can do to support me doing it all.
