Yeah, that is the sentiment that I get from a lot from my friends too and I understand it. I'm hoping that new platforms (bump to Steemit!) can help build new ways to connect people that don't sell us as the product. Luckily, our millennial generation is super dynamic when it comes to adopting cutting edge technologies and applications so I think that the transition from Facebook into a more *trusted* platform could happen rapidly when the right solution presents itself.
