**Some bloggers think that it is enough to click on the "Publish" button so that the readers flock to their site. If it was that simple, it would be known. Unfortunately, publishing articles requires a little more knowledge from your audience!**

**So, when should you publish the new article you just wrote? As soon as it is finished? Probably not. What will happen the day you lack inspiration? You will not have anything to post, and your blog will suffer.**

**And what about timing in the day, and in the week? If you have an article to post every week, when should you publish it? If you post one article per day, at what time of the day will you get the best visibility?**


**Before I explain to you at what time of the day it is necessary to publish your articles, be aware that all these data are very variable. What will work for a company, or blog, might not work for yours. Your audience is unique and that's why you need to know your habits.**

*So, what are the best days?*

Articles published on Monday get, on average, the most traffic. Wednesday is the second best day, and Friday is third, although the figures are very close it is interesting to note that if you want feedback, it would be better to publish your articles on Saturday. Fewer people will see your article than if you had posted it on a Monday, but you will get a higher commitment rate.

*The choice of day*

That's another thing to consider. The purpose of an article affects the timeline you need to use. If you want pure traffic, Monday is the best day. If you want a maximum of comments on your blog, Saturday is better. If you want links, Mondays and Thursdays will give you the same results.

Then you need to consider social sharing, on Facebook, Twitter and other networks. Social networks have higher volumes of items, so there is more competition and distractions during the week. However, on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, you will get more sharing.

These results come from a study published by TrackMaven, but if you do not trust them, Shareaholic has published its own study which estimates that Thursday is the sure bet for social sharing.

This is another example of differences in audience and content. Some industries will have more views at different times than others. At certain times of the week, people prefer lighter content and humor rather than deep content with statistics.

If you want to test your traffic and the commitment of your readers, do not test comparative between articles but a comparative between different types of articles. Comparing a humorous article with an article about economic inflation will show very different results, and you will not get any talking results.

Interestingly, if you post content for the sole purpose of becoming viral on Facebook, Tuesday is the best day. I guess it's probably because on Monday readers still have a work goal for the week, which is gradually disappearing from Tuesday.

*What time do you publish your articles?*

Now that we have established that you can post your articles every day and have very different results. As you can imagine, this also varies depending on the content of the article and your objective.

- If you want lots of views, publishing your articles at 11am seems to work best.

- If you want comments, it is better to post them even earlier, around 9am.

- If you are targeting backlinks, you will have to get up at dawn and schedule your items for 7 pm.

- The distribution on Facebook tends to bring the most clicks around 3 pm, but you will achieve a maximum of results if you post your article at 1 pm.

- On Twitter, the commitment is higher on the weekend, with a maximum of retweets around 5 pm. On the other hand, at noon and 6 pm you will get a maximum of visits to your site thanks to the clicks coming from Twitter.

You need to examine your ideas and analytical data from your site to understand what your users are doing, what your articles are, and when you should post your articles.
