The words "Pandemic" and "Lockdown" are two words that are in common use worldwide since the year 2020 began.
Businesses are closed down and workers are staying home. People were asked to maintain social distance to avoid contacting COVID-19 virus. Every body stays out and stays home.


In my country side, the state government place a partial lockdown and later a complete lockdown. The measure is to minimize person to person contact. Life has become difficult generally as markets and big stores are shut down. Life is no longer at ease. According to the legend, late Chinualumogu Achebe of "Things fall Apart" fame. 


In times like this, the question on the mind of people is "How do we survive"? For me, in addition to the question is how to keep fit. 

Here I decided to do manual farming in a piece of empty land within my house. Here I spend about an hour daily to keep busy and fit.

The yams are sprouting up and need to be guided. Yam farming our local way.
