Hello friends, I am pleased to join with this contest. This is my first post in this community and it's @prasadi from Sri Lanka.

Once a year I and my friends gather for something fresh and good. So in the last year we gathered for little ones' happiness who live in an orphanage. It's H H  Sri Ravishankar Living and Learning centre, situated in my area Monaragala.  It provides shelter for about 25 boys and most of them are parentless innocent kids. We were eager to do something for them. I know it's not enough at all. Although we couldn't  give them a life time of happiness by one day, we transformed one day of their life, into a delightful day.

First we did was collected some money from ourselves for preparing a lunch and buying some gifts for them. There were about ten friends included to the gang and we did some shopping together for that. We went to the fair and bought vegetables too. It was so cool to do those things together. 

But then another problem occurred. A few days before the date we had planned to go there, we got to know about that they don't have enough clothes and further more they said it's better if we give some shorts for the kids. Though the boys clothes  are very expensive  we wanted to do it too. Anyhow we made it work. We bought clothes for them too.

On the day we have planned to go there, my friends gathered at my home for preparing the lunch for them.  finally  in the afternoon we reached there with a delicious lunch and some favorite secrets of the kids.

Their innocent faces waited for us and warmly welcomed us. It was a delightful moment. Before having the lunch they wanted to sing with us, sitting on the garden. So why not?? We sang together. I noticed some brilliant singers among them and I was amazed by their singing.

Then the lunch time came and they had the lunch with happy faces. We offered everything we brought for them. I saw the joy of receiving gifts in those eyes.  I don't think they get gifts like when we were little, so that was one of the main goals of our journey. Anyhow that's what we wanted and that's it.

On a day in this year too, we will be there with that innocent butterflies. They need more love, they need more affection and kindness. I know it and I realized it. Do you know the sweetest part of it??? Happiness is something that increases the moment it is shared.  We need to share it more where happiness is needed.
