This is a live adaptation of Mo Dao Zu Shi (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation), a Chinese fantasy series released in 2019.  Briefly about the story:  The story is based on the journey of two young soulmate cultivators from ancient China in search of the root of a tragic event in the past.  In the meantime, one becomes a very powerful exorcist and dies tragically.  But years later he returns.  They meet again and find the cause of all the events that took place.

Ah, I forgot to tell you this is a BL novel.  However, the plot of this TV series has been limited to friendship.  This has an emotional and a well-written script and a well-developed character. Here both comedy and drama are in balance.  I like the friendship between the two of them.  This is why this drama is so beautiful.  I love their chemistry.  You will fall in love with the characters of Lan Wanji and Wei Wuxian.  The characters are played by Wang Yibo and Sean Xiao respectively.  They both sing the theme song here.  I like all the costumes they've used.

Don't be in a hurry to watch only the first and second episodes and skip this. The story that flows through the dark magic, the heartbreak and the friendship is very interesting.  Take your time and watch this and who knows you might love this.

Located in the middle of Seoul, Hotel Del Luna specializes in accommodating ghosts, not ordinary people.  This is not a scene that ordinary people will remember during the day and its appearance will change completely at night.  The hotel staff also ghosts who had died many years ago.  So, those who are dead and unable to go to afterlife find this hotel and get ready to go afterlife.

Hotel Del Luna is owned by Jang Man-wol.  She has been running this hotel for over 1000 years.  Whatever the ghost, this hotel needs a human to pay taxes and run the accounting.  The new manager is Ku Chang-seon.  Gradually a love affair develops between the two but she is not a human being.  Ku Chang-seon helps her escape from her stagnant life and move on to the afterlife.  If you watch the story you will understand why. That ending is very emotional.

The background story that shows us why Jang Man-wol has to do this is also very interesting.  The beautiful IU represents this character.  Ku Chang-seon is played by Yeo Jin-goo.  As we watch the story we see that this has been done with great production value.  All the effects were beautiful.  Some ghost scenes were really scared and creepy.  There is a well-matched soundtrack to the theme of the story. Give it a try if you have time. This is interesting to watch.

Yoon Jong-woo comes to Seoul from the countryside to work as an intern for a company.  When he finds a place to stay that is affordable, he finds Eden Studio for a very low price. Although the accommodation was substandard, he could not afford to pay for a more valuable place. The residents who live there also have very strange behaviours. But he decides to stay until he can raise some money.  After a while, Jong-woo realizes that something evil is happening there.


This is a psychological thriller starring Lee Dong-wook and Siwan. In here, Lee Dong-wook plays a dark character.  The story, the script, the character building is great.  The scenes used are really scary and disgusting.  They did every character in Eden Studio perfectly.  I loved all the performances. Actually, this drama is like a movie. This is one of the best thriller series. Do not miss this!

This is a fantasy/romance TV series released in 2016. The main characters are played by Lee Min-ho and Jun Ji-hyun.


This is a love story between Shim Cheong a mermaid and Heo Joon-jae, a con-artist. In the previous life, he was Dam-ryeong, an aristocrat of the Joseon period falls in love with a mermaid.  She is Se-hwa.  But in the end, they both die.  In this life, Joon-jae has no memory of this, but he dreams of his past.  Joon-jae realizes that he is dreaming of his own past and that everything is repeating itself. The story flows through a series of emotional events.  But the ending is gratifying.


At first, I was not sure how the story would unfold from the angle of a mermaid.  But it’s well done. This is a different type of story.  I loved the chemistry between the leading roles. All the actors have done a great job.  I really enjoyed this.
