Myth: People in Canada do not lock their doors.

I visit Canada at least twice a year (Family), and everyone I know in Canada have at least 2 locks on their door and yes they lock them!

Wow i've seen this happen so many times in so many places like wtf a guy comes in your place and you don't even have the right to defend yourself... i mean i understand that you cannot kill the person but why blame someone who just protected his life or other's from a person that was obviously going to do something bad

This has nothing to do with the second amendment. he wrestled the gun away from the intruder. These are only pending charges, I expect the right thing will be done here.

US can hate all it wants, but the stats don't lie. Crappy gun laws and lack of gun regulations kill people. Nobody here in Canada wants our own 'second amendment'.

Being a Canadian myself this shocks me to my core. It doesn't surprise me though. I would get a gun tomorrow if I knew I could use to to defend myself against home intruders and I mean this. I have my firearm permit. And I'm vegan so it's not like I'm a nutcase who love violence on the contrary. 

I'd love to see you mention Steemit at the end of your video like you do for your Patreon. I know sooner or later everyone will all end up on Steemit but I can wait to see everyone join.

Ah yes Canada one of the best countries in the world to live in. Yes its one of the best if your are a thief who wants to steal from someones home and you know that the person you are trying to steal will offer no resistance in fear of getting in trouble for self defence.

We have quite a few fools here in the U. S. Who want to dismantle the Second Amendment. Only a complete fool would choose edict over education and leave their personal safety totally up to someone else. Once you piss away your rights, you will never have the power to get them back.

Read the preamble to the Canadian constitution,bill of rights 1982/83.  "Limited only as can be...."
The supreme court of Canada has found time and time again that canadians have no rights at all, including the right to legal council and personal property rights for example.
Essentially the constitution is written to protect the government from the people. The polar opposite of what it should be.
I hate to be a buzz kill, but a U.S. style second amendment is out of the question and will never happen.
I'd also suggest everyone seek out a documentary on youtube called "Broken Trust: Gun Grab at High River"
The rcpm are so far out of control that it will never be regained. They literally, through regulatory authority/abuse, make/create canadian law on the fly, essentially nullifying parliament and the will of the people. And yes, the supreme court has upheld their ability to do so...
Canadians have failed to realize one inevitable truth. Once you give government control over something, the people will never get it back...

Sad as this may sound, maybe these stories will alert others that this is a problem that needs to be addressed and now. If the only groups that have guns are the governments and the criminals (and some would argue that they are one in the same) then we do have a problem.

Growing up I viewed the police as heros that put their lives on the line to keep Canadians safe. Unfortunetly most of them behave like domestic terrorists and don't care about the people that they swore an oath to serve and protect. It's time for some ethical police to start leaking training procedures to the public.

Thanks Dan, I have always wondered about what I would do if someone broke in and I knew that I could get into trouble somehow. What would happen if I were to stab or severely injure an intruder? I understand that they want to discourage violence but there is a line that needs to be drawn at ones family and home. I guess this is where "excessive force? comes into play, in your only defence.
