# Prize Selection Posts
The purpose of prize selection posts are to get the communities point of view on prizes offered by the Prize Portal, as well as build up liquid currency to provide these prizes for draw posts. We don't want to try and give away prizes no one wants, and we also need to be able to pay for these prizes.

These posts will feature a yes and no comment for steemit users to vote if they want a prize to be added to the Prize Portal pool or not.

# Draw Posts
Once a prize is selected via prize selection posts, and enough liquid currency has been attained to pay for the item being given away, a draw post will be made.
<br>
The Draw Posts will show the prize being drawn, give a draw date deadline, and have a comment allowing steemit users to vote on it for a free entry into the draw. They will also have information on how to get extra tickets via Openledger.

# Sybil Attack Protection
Game rules will provide at least some Sybil protection:
Winner must have a reputation of 40+
Winner must have posted in the last 5 days
Each Physical Address can only win every 6 weeks

# The Draw
When it is time for a draw, all free entrance votes and paid entrance tickets will be collected, and entered into The Random Thing Picker [here](http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/random/pickone.html). Then the desktop will be live streamed (likely twitch), and the winner will be selected at random and live. Once it is determined that the winner qualifies, the stream will be saved to youtube and a winner announce post made.  

# Redemption
The winner will have one week to claim their prize, and provide shipping details. That shipping address can no longer be a winner for 6 weeks. Once the item is shipped, the winner is provided with a tracking number

# What Else?
If this takes off, it could potentially serve as a portal for users to exchange their earned STEEM for prizes, allowing a gamification effect for steemit writing... Earn internet money, trade it for real prizes.

Along with the Task Manager main site, a steemit prize portal section is being developed as well. This will show all the available prizes, have tutorials for using steemit and bitshares to gain crypto, and provide free getting started trading packages via LEARNCOIN.

# When?
The first prize selection posts should roll out really soon, working on templates and other graphic options at the moment. PPBITS can be bought for any future draw already via the [Openledger market](bitshares.openledger.info?r=task-manager). The first draw is expected to happen by the first week of April, before if the reward pool builds quick enough.
