I don't specifically remember the souces, it was years ago I read them, but there is research indicating that, vegan diet makes you miss a lot of proteins.

Also the testosterone level drops, now whether that is good or not, you decide:
* It has been shown that high testosterone level correlates with violence
* But it has also been shown that low testosterone level correlates with high cancer rate

So a human needs to be "aggressive" enough to beat cancer, but disciplined enough to not cause trouble in society.

It should be minimum a balanced diet. That is why we are omnivores.

Dr Greger's book How not to die would be a great place for you to start your journey towards health. Saying I read something somewhere years ago and I base my most important life decisions on this which I can't event source anymore seems sketchy to me.

Well yes, I can't really remember every paper that I have read. I do read a lot on various subjects. I am sure an internet search would  give it up, but I don't have the time to search for it.

Besides it's not a life decision, it's more like a non-decision. Omnivore diet is the normal, and I have no reason to change that unless I find sufficient evidence on the contrary.

I will look more deeply into veganism later.

I will look into it, there is a lot of info to digest.

But to my knowledge heart disease can be avoided by regular physical excercize and sun bathing, since sun rays are the catalysts that turn cholesterol in the blood into vitamin-D.

Of course sun bathing can lead to skin cancer, but not if the testosterone levels are high.

So it's more like a chain of events that lead to healthy lifestyle, not 1 particular decision.

There may be pros for a vegan diet, but the question is, do the pros outweight the cons, and even if they do, is it suitable for every single human?
