That been said, today i thought to share this old photo i took from last year. I was exploring the tenebrism technique. You may or may not be familiar with that term, so stay with me as we dwell on the intrepretation.

Tenebrism is derived from the Italian word *'tenebroso'* which means dark, gloomy, or mysterious. It is a Baroque school of painting characterized by thr use of pronounced chiaroscuro. (where there are violent contrasts of light and dark.)

I employ tenebrism technique in some of my photography. I love it when my portraits are out of the out of the ordinary and unique. As i flipped through my gallery today, i realized that majority of my portraits are children, its not because there many children in my neighborhood or something. I simply have a soft spot for them.

When giving them a pose close to the window and directly opposite a great source of light, i never hesitate telling them to avoid a direct look at the source.  since it could be a bit harmful to their eyes. Nevertheless, they are always hppy to have a shot, sometimes they even call me to ask if i am coming around.
