Maximizing Steem Usage for 2019

Over the past 18 months, I've gone from writing pieces on Ethereum and Steem, to lots of pictures of food, to video game streaming.

It must be a bit confusing to follow me at times. I hope I've at least shown some of the variety Steem offers.

As the Steem Power rewards are pretty high right now-I've been getting about 4 SP for most posts-it makes sense for everyone to post more often. If Steem can stop hemorrhaging in value, and remain fairly constant, then delegating Steem Power remains a viable way to earn passive income. 

There is still a lot of risk involved in holding Steem Power, though. 

2018 saw the price drop from $8 to $0.20, which nullified any investment gains made in Steem last year. Steemit Inc is running out of money, and new account creation is slower than normal.

So. I'm going to continue using Steemit as a blog, but a less formal one, and my [personal website](steemmaker.com) will be used on occasion (and cross posted here) for more serious articles on blockchain stuff.

Check out my latest post. You can use you steem power to run a node and turn RCs into block rewards on a side chain. You can also host subscription based content served to steem users(encrypted via memokeys). Currently developing smart contracts as complex financial instruments from futures, to auctions, to equity and collateralized loans. Not much more difficult than running your own website.
