<div class="text-justify">Si bien es cierto que Caracas, es hoy en día, una de las ciudades más violentas y peligrosas del mundo, no es menos cierto, que nuestra gente se muere de hambre; que muchos buscan en la basura de casas, edificios, restaurantes, para llevarse las sobras, "limpiarlas" y comérselas. Y mucha gente honesta que está pasando trabajo, antes de ponerse a robar, prefiere meterse en las suciedades del río Guaire y hurgar entre podredumbre y excrementos, a ver si consiguen cualquier cosita que brille, así sea un cerrador de cadena, lo que sea, para venderlo y llevar la comida a su familia.

Muchos no usan guantes o botas, pues la adquisición de cualquiera estos artículos es altamente costosa.</div>

ante la indiferencia de sus gobernantes;
gente comiendo de la basura
y otros buscando oro en el Guaire.

Es una dura realidad galopante
el ver a esta pobre gente
llenarse de excremento 
para llevar a casa el sustento.

Hay ratas y cucarachas, 
culebras y otros bichos;
pero eso poco importa, 
necesita el dinero para sus hijos.

#

Te puedes enfermar, le dicen.
Te puedes infectar, opinan.
Porque él va sin guantes,
sin botas y sin un tapabocas. 

#

Al final de la jornada, 
después de 12 horas,
consiguió lo que buscaba:
podrá pagar la comida ahora.

#

Hay niños y también adultos 
que buscan en las podridas aguas,
anillos, cadenas, pulseras,
y todo lo que el río arrastra.

#

Son túneles grandes y pequeños;
caminan, se arrodillan, se arrastran
durante un día entero,
aguantan el olor a excremento y a las ratas.

#

Maldito plan de gobierno,
maldita oposición de porquería
¿por qué destruyen a Venezuela,
Sin escuchar el clamor de la mayoría?</center>
