Sewaktu kecil ibu sering berkata
Jangan pergi keluar
Di sana kotor
Di sana tidak baik
Di sana berbahaya

Aku justru semakin ingin keluar
Merengek demi diberi izin
Setidaknya hanya untuk melihat birunya langit
Dan merasakan betapa hangatnya mentari pagi

Whining for permission
At least just to see the blue sky
And feel how warm morning sun
Namun bukan mengiyakan, ibu justru tersenyum dan berucap
"Jangan sekarang, tapi nanti.."
"Kapan?" Aku meringis
"Saat kau tumbuh dewasa" Ibu memelukku erat sambil membisikkan sesuatu yang membuatku terlelap
>But not affirmative, mother just smile and say
"Not now, but later .."
"When?" I grimaced
"When you grow up" Mother hugged me tightly while whispering something that made me sleep
Ah, sekarang aku mengerti
Ternyata ini yang ibu takuti
Dunia memang semengerikan ini
Bagi bocah kecil yang hanya tahu arti bermain
>Ah, now I understand
Apparently this is what the mother feared
The world is so horrible
For a little girl who only knows the meaning of play
Tapi mengapa tumbuh dewasa membuatku menyesal?
Ibu ini terlalu menyesakkan
Untuk mengetahui wajah asli dibalik topeng dunia
Ibu aku ingin kembali
Ke masa di mana aku hanya tahu dongeng tanpa mengerti realitas
Ibu panggil aku kembali
Dan ku kan berjanji tak lagi memintamu untuk keluar
>But why grow up makes me regret it?
Mom, it is too stifling
To know the real face behind the mask of the world
Mom, I want to come back
In a time where I only know fairy tales without understanding the reality
Mom, call me back
And I promise no more asking you to let me go out~
