My Steem Journey

After **four months of steeming**, I better understand how to earn Steem and navigate on the platform. I have concentrated on publishing quality content and have written many poems and short stories. The highest amount that I have earned on a single post was $24.57 when @curie upvoted one of my stories written for a contest hosted by @thewritersblock.

Several months ago I joined the curation trail of @trevonjb, a group of Steemians who exchange upvotes for quality content.

Increasing my Steem amount gave me more SP (Steem Power) to upvote good content and to delegate a small amount to @actifit to earn additional tokens for walking and delegation.

At the time of this publishing, I have 304 followers and I also follow people who’s content I love, like @jluvs2fly, @negativer and @whatsup. I love finding hidden gems on the platform like @beatking13 who is so creative and talented or exquisite artwork produced by @midlet that will just blow you away. Writing 50-word short stories from word prompts created by @jayna connected me to a community of creative fiction writers.

Several of the dApps that I have used the most are: Steemit, Steempeak, Busy, Partiko and Actifit. Discord has helped me to network behind the scenes, develop relationships and understand the functionality of the platform.

I am grateful that @midlet took time to walk me through the process of completing transactions through @blocktrades and shared tips for increasing my SP.

I am still excited about the potential of Steem and in the video below, @indigoocean helped me understand Steem’s value as a cryptocurrency.

Everyday I learn a little bit more about cryptocurrencies and I am grateful that @jluvs2fly invited me to join the community. I have enjoyed engaging with so many creative and gifted Steemians as I journey through the world of Steem.

Wow, @pyemoney, you have only been on the platform for four months? That blows me away! I really enjoyed this post and hearing about all of your involvements. That is really what makes it all work, I believe: finding great communities to be a part of, as well as great content creators and mentors. It’s a lot to master (especially for crazy busy people), but it does ultimately pay off. I will check out the video and some of the other Steemians and resources you talked about. I actually got the idea from you when I read some of the older blogs that you had posted.  It is a long tedious process trying to grow your account, reputation score and post quality content everyday.  But part of the joy of the journey is meeting people like @whatsup.
