In fact, one of the favorite of my quotes is a bold statement: <em><strong>~*~Almost all the world’s problems start with parenting, thus the solutions to the world’s problems lie in New Paradigm parenting~*~</strong></em></p> <p><br></p> <p>So while that quote embodies the fullness of what I mean, it doesn't really address any kind of specifics to practical life. I would like to use that quote as the foundation for my posts on parenting/family/life, and in each post address more practical aspects of life that are likely to be of importance to almost any parent. </p> <p><br> If you did not check out my <a href="https://steemit.com/life/@quinneaker/almost-all-the-world-s-problems-start-with-parenting-thus-the-solutions-to-the-world-s-problems-lie-in-new-paradigm-parenting">last post on parenting, please do so</a> as it has a lot of background information and foundational consciousness about who I am as a being and as a father. </p> <p>I literally have thousands of photos and hours of videos documenting the very raw and alive life the children and I have shared over the years. </p> <p>This video was recorded about 3 years ago and was actually brought back to my attention by a friend who was commenting on the simple profound realizations he had through this video. So I felt why not share it all with you here on Steemit!</p> <p>This video is of @qiqi-power when she was almost 3 years old. As you will see in the video, she is helping me make a bunch of scrambled eggs and wants to scramble them with her hands. This of course is not the way that it is "supposed to be done", nor the way adults would do it, nor something most adults would allow. </p> <p>While this exact experience is not critical, <strong>experiences </strong><em><strong>like</strong></em><strong> this </strong><strong>ARE</strong><strong>!</strong> </p> <p>Adults often forget how exciting the many new facets of life can be for children and how important they are to their well-rounded comprehension and adaptation to their world. There are so many sensational experiences and explorations of how the world works that go into development in early years of childhood that adults have forgotten about or have no comprehension of. </p> <p>Something may appear to be irresponsible or bad to an adult, yet to the child it may be the greatest experience.</p> <p>This is a great example of an experience that QiQi was not only thoroughly immersed in, but got fulfillment from! She's never needed to do this again. If I would have told her "you can't do this!" for whatever justified reason my adult mind could come up with (there are many), not only would she have been upset, but in the back of her mind she would still want to do it and when she <em>does</em> do it behind my back, she may wind up making a much bigger mess or wasting a lot of eggs because of the dysfunction of the experience. By giving her freedom to do what she wants in a responsible way, not only does she enjoy herself and learn important things about how the world works, but she does it responsibly. </p> <p>This is one of many everyday critical moments. I thoroughly love watching tiny humans learn and grow. You can clearly see the wheels turning as she observes and interacts and it's magical. Last week we started baby led weaning with our twins and it was such a mess but worth every splatter. As adults, we can take take taste and texture for granted since we have experienced it so often. Seeing my children experience new tastes, smells, and textures was exciting and also reminded me of lifes simple pleasures. Life is far different for my daughter than for Sami or I and we are thrilled. We recognize that our parents did the best they could with the information they were provided and with the people who had modeled daily life for them. We decided to treat our daughter with respect and honor from before she was born. We have always spoken to her with the knowledge she understood what we were saying. When Tesla was about 2 months old, Samantha and I had only been getting 30 min-2 hours of sleep at a time and we were seeing bunnies out the corners of our eyes. Samantha, with tear-filled eyes explained to our crying infant that if she could sleep for at least 3 full hours, she would be able to be more present, produce more milk, would physically feel much better, and she could be a better mom. That beautiful tiny being gestured in a way that appeared to be a shrug and made a noise close to, "hmm", and rolled over. She fell asleep almost instantly and stayed asleep for about 4 hours. We knew then that things were much different from what our parents and grandparents experienced and explained them to be (even with each other). I look at the minis way of interacting in this plane similar to what it's like to operate in the interior of Mexico when someone doesn't speak Spanish. Most can tell what is being communicated, but are unable to speak the language. This idea was reinforced when we taught Tesla sign language and she was able to communicate by signing a good while before she had learned to speak. She quickly passed the limits of my vocabulary and became my teacher. I will do my best to continue to provide her tools that will enable her to quickly maneuver through, around, and beyond the challenges of previous generations and many challenges the current one faces. Oh that's so sweet!! She's having a nice time playing in the eggs, just feeling them. And then at the end she says "I'm done!" and that's it. She felt the eggs, she found out what it's like, and that was that. It's so important and valuable that you talk about this!!! I know way more adults who would have freaked out and not allowed their child to squish around in some eggs rather than would let it happen and be chill and not stressed about a mess or whatever...it feels like there is so much about parenting that needs to be "unlearned" and reconsidered. And QiQi is the coolest, so obviously your approach is working.

That is what I hope! In many ways this is FAR more valuable to someone who is NOT yet a parent because they may have time to prepare and get in the proper mental perspective BEFORE having a child. Once a parent already has children it is usually very difficult and rare to change ones ways.
