Wow what a tale! In many ways this is a tragedy in deed. Yet all in all you are fine, healthy and happy. You handled all this quite well and it oculd have been much worse. I do believe that everything is in alignment. Meaning everything happens for a reason even if its not your "fault". I think the moral of this story is what you summed up quite well or as "Forest Gump Says "Shit Happens" Yes life is not perfect even for the best of us. Yet you kept a positive attitude and all in all everything is fine. So you were creating your reality by making the best of a bad situation. Good on you!
