The topic: Buying votes to get into the trends.

At the same time, there is currently a lot of hustle and bustle to the same topic on YouTube, too.
If I look at the German trends of this week I can see 7 videos in the 22 suggested trends which really catch my attention. In my opinion, 1 out of 3 doesn't belong into the trends section. And we are not talking about different tastes right now, because then I would have disagree with way much more than these 7 videos 🤣

Zeitgleich gibt es aktuell auf YouTube ebenfalls sehr viel Trubel um das gleiche Thema.
Schaue ich mir heute, den 17.11.2017, die deutschen Trends der Woche an, fallen mir bei den 22 vorgeschlagenen Trends 7 Videos ins Auge. Knapp 1/3 der Trends gehören meiner Meinung nach nicht darein. Und wir reden jetzt nicht von unterschiedlichen Geschmäckern, denn dann würde ich noch viel mehr raus streichen 🤣

No, what really pisses me off about this week's trends is that the people behind these 7 videos have no scruples while making their money. 
First they buy themself views and likes to get into the trends section. Pretending to have an organic reach. They then buy comments to make their own offer more appealing and provide their own social proof. Okay, every one does it on Amazon, too.

Nein, was mich bei der Betrachtung der Trends dieser Woche wirklich anpisst ist, dass die Personen hinter diesen 7 Videos keine Skrupel haben. Sie kaufen im ersten Schritt Views und Likes, um in die Trends zu kommen. Damit gaukeln sie eine organische Reichweite vor. Daraufhin kaufen sie Kommentare, um ihr eigenes Angebot schmackhafter zu machen und sorgen für den eigenen Social Proof. Okay, zugegeben auf Amazon wird es auch gemacht.

Jetzt mal auf steemit bezogen:

Ich finde, die Menge machts einfach. 
Ich persönlich habe nichts dagegen, Upvotehilfe im kleineren Rahmen zu nutzen, um zumindest überhaupt gesehen zu werden. Das ist insbesondere für Anfänger, die auf der Plattform ernsthaft durchstarten wollen sehr hilfreich, da quasi überhaupt keine Reichweite besteht.
Auch Anfänger machen gute Beiträge, die es verdient haben, gesehen zu werden.
Sobald aber Ausmaße erreicht werden, in denen mühelos hingeklatschte Beiträge zig $ wert sind und somit in den Trends ganz oben erscheinen, wird es für mich problematisch.. 
Natürlich kann man sich fragen wo hier die Grenze gesetzt werden kann/muss..
Ich sehe das ganze ein bisschen zwiegespalten und werde erstmal noch ein wenig ausprobieren und beobachten.

Ja, ich bin auch noch ein bisschen zwiegespalten. Ich kann die Argumentation von beiden Seiten verstehen und habe mich noch nicht festgelegt. 
Klar, können auch Neulinge guten Content kreieren vs. Die alten Hasen haben sich aber ihre Position erarbeitet.

Abuse ist Definitionssache.
Qualität - Geschmackssache.
Fairness...
Wer soll es regulieren...
...
... da sind einfach zu viele Faktoren und Variablen, die mir einfallen. 

Anyway... die Plattform ist noch jung und wir werden ja noch länger hier verweilen. Worüber wir heute noch rumheulen, kann in ein paar Monaten schon Schnee von gestern sein. Es bleibt also spannend und wir kriegen die Entwicklung mit allen Höhen und Tiefen komplett mit.

Alles richtig, sehe ich auch so. 
Wir stehen tatsächlich gerade am Anfang und wenn die Plattform sich weiter etablieren will und größere Reichweite erreichen will, dann wird sowieso noch viele Ecken verändert und Verbessert.
Bin da zuversichtlich, dass die Probleme in den Griff bekommen werden und bin gespannt wie es weiter geht.

In Analogie dazu fällt mir ein, im Musikgeschäft ist es z.B. auch Usus, die eigene Platte in Massen aufzukaufen, um in die Charts zu kommen.

Sowas habe ich allerdings definitiv noch nicht gemacht. Dazu braucht man auch ein enormes Budget, um damit etwas bewirken zu können.

Ja, davon habe ich auch schon gehört. 
Ich meine sogar, Dieter Bohlen hat mal was zu erzählt und eine Zahl genannt. Kann mich nicht mehr an die Zahl erinnern, aber ich weiß, dass ich überrascht war, wie wenige CDs man auf diese Art und Weise selbst kaufen muss, um in die Charts zu kommen.

Solche und ähnliche Machenschaften gibt es in diversen Branchen. Einfach als Verlag dutzende von Büchern an bestimmte Rezensenten mit hoher Reichweite (Früher Blogger, heute nennt sich das Influencer etc.) schicken, die das Buch nicht nur in den Rezensionen eher wohlwollend beurteilen sondern auch eine Rezension auf Amazon abgeben und einiges mehr.

Wir leben in einer Gesellschaft wo in nahezu allen Bereichen ein Überangebot besteht. Es reicht nicht einfach ein gutes Produkt oder Dienstleistung anzubieten. Gutes Marketing ist mindestens genau so wichtig.

Das Thema ist immer wieder interessant... 
Danke für den Hinweis, dachte nicht dass, das Video noch lange oben ist wenn man so viele views kauft, dass man in die Trends kommt. 
Bei kleinen Mengen war es glaub ich immer so das yt nichts gecheckt hat oder nichts gemacht hat, aber das was die gekauft haben ist ja schon ein riesen Ausmaß, wundert mich das der Algorhitmus das nicht irgendwie bemerkt.

Ja, irgendwie finden die immer wieder neue Möglichkeiten den Algorithmus auszutricksen. 
Mal fielen die Accounts auf, weil zu viele Views aus Indien kamen, dann war es mal, dass Views und andere Interaktionen im Gleichgewicht sein mussten und mittlerweile werden sogar deutsche fake Kommentare verwendet, um durch das Raster zu fallen... the story goes on and on...

Stimmt absolut, ich schau mir an was in den Trends steht und entscheide dann, ob ich mir das angucke. Ich beobachte auch, wer wie dort hinkommt. 

Ohne Werbung hat man als Neuling auch nach Monaten immer noch kaum eine Chance, gesehen zu werden. Man muss sich nun mal selber helfen, wenn man sich wünscht, dass die Beiträge gelesen werden.

Auch wieder sehr interessant!! 
Eigtl. sollte YouTube sowas unterbinden, 
aber ich glaube ehrlich gesagt, 
das Youtube sowas bewusst nicht macht. 

Ich mein, jeder Kanal der groß wird und Klicks generiert, 
der generiert natürlich auch Geld für YouTube.

Ehrlich gesagt, mich wunderts es nicht mehr. Vor paar Monaten haben paar deutsche Internet Stars (Instagram & Co) entlarvt und berichtet über gekaufte Follower. Einige sogar haben zugegeben und es sollte billig sein 10.000 Follower kosten 130-150€ (glaube meistens aus Mexiko, Indien & Co...deshalb ist aufgefallen!), gute Investition, je mehr Follower umso bekannter und bessere Verträge und Jobs...
Jetzt ist wahrscheinlich Youtube dran.
Immer wieder neue Maschen 🎀☺
Letzte 2 Monaten habe mindestens über 50 "mega Stars...Influencer"...gelesen (eben auf Grund von viele Follower und "likes") von denen ich nie was gehört oder gelesen habe ☺
Was solls's, wir können es nicht ändern, die werden immer wieder neue Wege finden um Geld zu verdienen!

Ja, es gibt immer wieder neue Lücken im System, die ausgenutzt werden können. Besonders wenn es ums Geld verdienen geht. Vielleicht braucht es sogar solche Fälle, um die Bugs/Fehler zu erkennen und auszubessern. ;)

Auch in dem Punkt gebe ich dir Recht. Es werden immer mehr "Mega Stars... Influencer" geben. Vielleicht bin ich mit meinem YouTube Channel auch (irgendwann) etwas Schuld dran ;) Fakt ist, dass durch Social Media jeder seine Reichweite aufbauen kann. Eine nie dagewesene Möglichkeit, die immer noch unteschätzt wird. Die Frage ist nur, wer nutzt es, um Leben/die Welt zu verändern?
