Just a couple more things to add, then I will start filling in the background areas with black, and putting on the oils. The two little guys in the middle don't have any wings yet, and I think there needs to be one more flying green vervet right in behind the tub. Then will come all the little hands, some sugar cubes, a lighter, maybe a sprig of wormwood.

I may not get a chance to work on this today, which is too bad, because I'm really cranking to go on it. Instead, Mikey and I will be spending time with some friends. A real social call! So rare. Kind of exciting, actually. It's so much work being self-employed. Time isn't something you can throw around when it's up to you to make ends meet. I almost always have to double up on work and play. I'm not complaining, and I don't mind it, but you get into your rituals and your habits and you don't notice the way your life is going until something happens to call your attention to it.

There is work I wish I had done yesterday, or rather, that I wish I had found time to also do yesterday. We recorded a podcast of our improv show, and I wish I had had a chance to do some foley and editing for it for tonight, because the friends in question are some of our cast mates. I should like to have more done. I'll be working on it today before we go, to see if I can do anything worth bringing, so I'd better get to that.
