Is to pay attention to your day to day activities.
The idea for the article I published today called [Don't use "I'm searching for inspiration" as an excuse not to work](https://steemit.com/work/@raikuhen/don-t-use-i-m-searching-for-inspiration-as-an-excuse-not-to-work) came from noticing how just before writing that I was about to go on Pinterest in order to search for some inspiration for an article.
Another article I wrote two days ago called [Not creating original content doesn't mean not being creative](https://steemit.com/work/@raikuhen/not-creating-original-content-doesn-t-mean-not-being-creative) which is a follow up to another article called [Why trying to create original content may be a bad idea](https://steemit.com/work/@raikuhen/why-trying-to-create-original-content-may-be-a-bad-idea) is the result of me noticing how I work. Both articles are, in fact, the result of observing how I do things.
One of the easiest way to get an idea for an article isn't to go online and spend minutes or even hours trying to find the right topic to discuss or hoping you'll get inspired by a random article or image.
The easiest way to get an idea for an article is to look at yourself, to look at your life, at what you do, at how you do things, and to think of ways to write about all that. If you're the type of person that wakes up early in the morning and finishes work before 12 PM, then write an article explaining how you do it and what the benefits are.
If you're a programmer that works for a game development studio, then you could write dozens of articles talking about that. If you're a writer and you spend most of your time creating content for websites like Steemit or Medium, you could approach those topics.
It's an easy trick that too many people ignore. Just look at yourself and at your life, and try to find ways to talk about what you do everyday, about your opinions related to all kind of topics, about what you want to do in the future or the things you struggle with right now, etc.
Inspiration can come from anywhere, especially from observing either your life or the life of other people. Just because other writers focus on getting ideas online, doesn't mean you have to do the same. Go out and look at people, or just look at how you do things, and you'll get enough ideas for several articles to write.
