I remember in the very earliest days of *"social blogging"* (late 1990's to maybe 2005) we were less concerned about writing *"articles"* and more concerned about writing something authentic from person experience that would result in a conversation/discussion. Sure, it could be *"serious"* topics like politics or economics, but it typically came from a *personal* angle... and that was a *lot* of fun. In actuality, it was the elements of that I saw in Steemit that made me stay here.
