Today I waked up very early as my brother and I planned to visit Colombo International Book Fair. Even though I have tons of works, my brother bothered me to go. We left home early in the morning. Before going, our mother gave us Rs. 7000 /= using 1000 notes. So brother and I divided it into two parts. As I am the elder one, I took the highest amount and gave lower amount to my brother. 

We traveled by bus. We used two busses. For the first bus, cost was Rs.260/= for both of us. For the second bus, we spent Rs. 25/= for both. My brother didn't spend money for the bus😒. I paid for both when going to the book fair and again when coming back.  We reached to BMICH at about 10.30 a.m.

Then my brother and me separated and went to different areas. Today, there was not much crowd comparing to other years. I think the reason is today is a weekday. We had to follow all health disciplines like wearing face masks, sanitizing hands. There were long queues in some stoles as the entrance is limited to a few amounts at a time. Organizers continuously announce health practices that need to be followed.. Everything went well except 1m distance.

I purchased some stationaries, tapes, and books. I selected 5 books which won the "Swarna Pusthaka Award". The Sarasavi bookshop gave a 20% voucher for Spring and Summer. My brother received 3 vouchers mistakenly 😋. I can go for shopping 4 times after exam. For the lunch I didn't spent any money as my mother gave us a packet of lunch.

It was so sunny and after purchasing books I want to have a rest. My brother is still missing. So I purchased ice cream. I requested a large one but received a small one. It costed Rs.40/=. So I sat on a bench in the shade and enjoy the little ice cream.

Then until my brother finishes his shopping, I went to another exhibition called "Local Crafts Exhibition" in the same location. I purchased a craft for Rs. 100/= as a donation for a school of disabled students. I didn't purchase any other thing from there.

I met my brother finally!!! So we turned back to home. We used two busses as same as when coming. Same amounts spent as bus fee. I paid them from my money. 

My brother didn't have any bills as he missed them all. He spent money on 4 books and for a snack. We came home by 4.30 p.m and described everything to the mother and father. After having wash we returned the remaining money back to mother. There was a large remaining amount in my hand than my brother. The total remaining amount was Rs. 1343/=

Today was an enjoyable day. We purchased good books and also received attractive discounts for every item.
