Protesting Peacefully For A New Government!

I live in Algeria and for the last 20 years we have been governed by the same president. Despite of all the laws that dictate that a president should rule 12 years in a row  maximum, this one, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, changed the rules going to 20 years and wants to go even more.

The whole country knows that all the government and the media are in his pockets and doesn't dare say a bad word about him or cross his way.

Few years back he had a stroke and since then his physical abilities became limited, we rarely see him. We haven't seen him in while that rumors about his death are circulating, media keeps showing him live but the people know it's old footage, we're not that dumb.

So we started protesting peacefully, against him and his whole group called " the 40 thieves ", we demand our rights, we demand the change of the system and the improvement of the living situation and we do it **PEACEFULLY**

We have two main protests a week, Tuesday for students and teachers ( today doctors joined too ) and Friday the whole country, kids too!

During these protests the police force is present of course to make sure nothing goes sideways but we remind them that they're part of our country too, we give them flowers, hugs, kisses and some even get phone numbers haha

We managed to get Bouteflika to withdraw his file from the upcoming elections but he decided to delay them for Lord knows why, it's still a small win for our nation but the fight isn't over yet.

I have never been so proud of being an Algerian, giving the world a lesson in being civilized and proceeding with peace ♥️
