And depending on which way you’re looking at it from it can either be a good thing or a bad thing. And then at the end after considering it from both ways and listening to both sides of the story you can THEN pick which angle you want to come from.

Let’s consider this frist from the angle of dissemination of ideas. From this angle you can say that globalization is in fact a very good thing. The world has become a global village, where ideas travel faster with lightning speed. Remarkable Inventions are seen and utilized everywhere. In fact even arts can be said to be able to reach places and of people that wouldn’t normally have had the chance of coming in contact with them without globalization.

So looking at it from this perspective, globalization is defintely a positive thing. It provides an avenue for higher information dissemination and an environment for discussing and debating ideas to arrive at a more cogent and better direction for humanity.

But then we have the second angle. The angle of imperialism and world domination.

Thanks to globalization this has also become more possible and more threatning than it used to be. The despots now have a very potent instrument of drumming terrible ideas into gullible minds. And since we all basically have become one thanks to globalization, its also made it very easy for anybody to target us a whole.

Lets not forget the loss of cultural diversity and identity. It is sort of like the melting pot scenario. We all come together and everone tries to fit in. What usually happens in cases like this is we all try to have a uniform identity and the “bigger” “more established” cultures swallow up the lesser ones.

Thereby causing loss of identities and uniqueness among a lot of people. And you would agree that one of the things that makes humanity so beautiful and wonderful is our cultural diversity. Not even cultural alone but our diversities as a whole.

If everybody started to do things in one single dogmatic monotonous way we find that things get vapid and boring very soon—no matter how seemingly superior or interesting that thing is.

So globalization can definitely be examined from a couple of perspectives, and mostly as in cases like this, the optimal scenario is in the compromise. And how tactful we are in threading these lines.

Cheers and have a nice day!

politics","life","question","steemit"]}" |
