What's All the Fuss? First of all, what is EFT? Emotional Freedom Technique is actually a set of over 15 "muscles" that when used properly, have the ability to significantly reduce your stress level, improve your energy levels, and in some cases, completely cure you of any emotional distress. Sounds good, right? Well, here's how the program works:

First, begin by discovering your emotional triggers. You could be surprised at who your worst enemies are! Think back to all of the times when you had an episode of depression, anxiety, anger, self-pity or other emotions that drain you daily.

Once you have identified your personal triggers, work on unclogging the emotional pathways that fuel those emotions. As you gradually ease into your emotional healing process, continue to do this on a daily basis, anywhere from several times a day, to several times a week. Remember to work on all of the above, not just the trigger. That way, you'll get the full benefit of your treatment. You may even discover new emotional triggers that you didn't even know about before!

Next, begin to challenge those emotions that are fueling your distress. Often, it's easy to say you're going to "get back on track", or that "this too shall pass". However, unless you actively work to rid yourself of those emotions, nothing will change. If you truly want to heal, you must take an honest inventory of your emotions. Then, find creative ways to deal with them, as well as finding creative ways to cope with them in the future. This is where the true healing begins.

You can connect with other Emotional Healing Practitioners through online forums, blogs, Facebook and other social media websites. Find a mentor in your area who is experiencing all of the above and learn from them. Together, you will make a tremendous difference in the quality of your life.
