Hopefully the fall rains will bring more water to it. And if there are mountains that feed the river, in the spring the snows will keep water in it. 

I think one of the most fascinating water phenomenons is the annual flooding of the Okavango Delta in Africa. I once watched a show about it on Discovery or Planet Earth or something. Most of the places will be a desert until the rains come and then it will spring to life! It is very interesting to see.

RiveBed of gravels (stone) in middle of greenary. ..which ultimatley get into a lake with stone bed beneath the water....that what i see 👍

My grandparents had a cabin in the Cascade Mountains, near a river that was dry like this in the fall. It was so fun to hike along it. And we would gather the fallen trees and have massive bonfires.
