Photography Color Challenge — Sunday Purple — The Last Bits of Summer

Around here, we look at seasons a little differently. 

September 15th informally marks the end of "summer" season for the Red Dragonfly Gallery, because we live in a town that's a major tourist destination.

To mark the beginning of the new season, and a renewed commitment to participating more in the Steemit community, I thought I'd do a quick **#colorchallenge** post, celebrating some of the color we have enjoyed here.

In case you're not familiar with "Color Challenge," it's one of Steemit's oldest and most widely followed photo challenges, originally started by **@kalemandra,** well over a year ago.

Whereas it was a less than perfect summer season — for many reasons, to be explored in future updates — there are still many small things to be grateful for.

We're grateful for our mild climate; we're grateful for the friendly people of our town; we're grateful for the visitors who keep our commerce running; we're grateful for our spectacular natural surroundings and the generally high quality of life.

And now, we must go forward and into the "lean season," armed with little more than our hopes and a willingness to work hard.
