As mentioned in previous posts, here is a visualization tool for mapping the cases of COVID-19 occurrences.
According to the site, this morning's worldwide number of reported cases was 4,858,850 with 1,918,938 recoveries, 329,300 deaths, and 1,556,749 cases in the United States (US). This represents 19,165 new cases in the US, which is 898 more than yesterday.
Of the US cases, the site reports 294,312 recoveries, 93,606 fatalities, 12,647,791 tests administered, and 68,126 cases in my own state, Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is reporting 4,770 deaths and 349,700 tests administered.
As previously noted, the numbers of recoveries seem implausibly low for a disease that normally runs its course in two weeks. Two weeks ago, the site reported 3,775,667 total cases globally and 1,228,609 cases in the US. At this point, it seems like most of those people should have recovered by now.
