Italian champions, Juventus have been growing from strength to strength and from formidable to almost invincible.

With a bright start to their season already, the Old Lady look not to be in the mood to stop anytime soon. 

On Saturday, they defeated Roma by a lone goal, courtesy of Mario Mandzukic, who has been in excellent form from last season. 

The Croatian has hit a season and personal best with six goals already and has scored in his last three home games for the the Old Lady. 

The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer from Real Madrid has also given them more steel and firepower upfront. The Portuguese is also the second highest goalscorer in the League with 11 goals. 

The victory, which was Juventus' 16th in 17 league games this season means, **they become the first team in the history of Serie A to accomplish such feat to the start of a season**.

Sitting 8 points clear off Napoli, Juventus have now amassed 49 points from 17 games, with 16 wins and just one draw. 

It sets them as one of the best starts to a league season in the top five European Leagues, putting then in the same class as Barcelona in 2012/2013 and Manchester City in 2017/2018 season. 

Not just have Juventus been amassing the points and winning games, they have been stingy at the back with 22 clean sheets in 2018 alone. They could increase the number by two when they take on Fiorentina on Boxing day and Sampdoria three days later.
