Kevin De Bryune Out For Another 6 Weeks

Just when Manchester City thought they had received the boost of the season, it seems their luck immediately ran out.

The Premier League Champions have announced that Belgian midfielder is set to be ruled out of action for about 5-6 weeks with a thigh injury.

The former Chelsea player who was very instrumental as the Cityzens won the league last season and well as for Belgium when the Reds claimed Bronze medal at the World Cup suffered the injury on Thursday night.

De Bryune was first treated on the pitch before being substituted after Fulham defender, Timothy Fosu-Mensah fell awkwardly backwards on the Belgian who hurt his left knee. 

Regardless of his injury, City went ahead to make light work of Fulham to progress into the next round of the cup with a 2-0 victory with Brahim Diaz shining on the night with a brace.

The former Wolfsburg man has already missed about 10 games for City this season and is set to miss next week's Manchester Derby as well as facing a race against time to be fit for the game against Chelsea on December 8.
