Is Only Learning Some Self Defense Techniques Enough For Self Defense? - Martial Arts
So if someone does this and you will do that. That's it. Well, there is no magic button in self defense. You press that button, and it will solve everything.

When you face a real-life situation, it is more complicated than you think. If you only learn some techniques and you think that is enough, you will not any clue when the situation changes.

You have to learn how to strike, how to punch, do palm strike, elbow strike, knee charge, kick and blocks against strikes. It takes time to learn those. You have to have patience and keep learning step by step. Nothing is going to change over night.

If you read my posts, you know I talk about martial arts and self defense, and I also recommend learning martial arts from martial arts instructors. When you train and read to lean more about it, you will find it very useful.

You can practice on your own, but you need to practice with your training partner. You need to do sparring. You can learn how to parry and block, but to learn how to use it effectively, there is no alternative to sparring.

When your partner kicks or punches, you make your move to defend that or counter-attack. You will learn about how to control the distance. This is something you cannot do it on your own.

You might not hear about stamina. If you do not have the stamina, you cannot keep fighting to defend yourself. You will be out of breath. You need to increase your stamina. You can do exercise and circuit training on a regular basis. It will help you increase your stamina.

Learning some self defense techniques is good, but you have to move on to learn other things. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post.

Please feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comment section. Stay safe. Always be happy!
