Welcome back to **Self Defense Situation - What Do You Do? - Part 3**. You know how to punch, kick, parry and block. Whatever you learn during your training in martial arts, if you can apply your skills to defend yourself, that's all that matters.

Before making any move, the more you understand the situation, the better. Since every situation is different, you cannot apply the same thing in every situation. If you are in a place that has limited space, you should know what you can do over there in order to defend yourself. You can be good at many things, but that might not work over there.

We usually share a video where you can different situations, then we talk about that. If you have not read the previous posts, you can check out those posts. Sometimes you face a situation that is serious, so you have to act like that. 

Sometimes people just mess around, so you do not like to put your full force to make some serious damage. All you need to do is to let them know if they mess up with you, they will be in trouble. And if they are smart enough, they will not make any trouble.

##### Situation 1

A girl is walking on the street. Someone comes behind her and put his hand on her shoulder. When you are attacked, there might be other attackers who are watching and if anything goes wrong, they come and attack you. We see that in this situation. Again, how you react, it depends on your observation. 

If you know that place is dangerous, many things happen over there. And somehow you are being attacked over there, you have to be serious. If you don't, things might get worse. So as soon as the guy puts his hand on her shoulder, she just attacks him. The other guy who stands and sees everything comes forward to attack the girl. She defends his strike and attacks him instantly.

##### Situation 2

In the situation, one guy grabs her hand and she pushes him away. The other guy comes with a knife. It is an anti cutter. It can be dangerous if the attacker attacks you with this. You see the guy holding the knife in front of you and the first guy comes towards you, the sooner you can do something the better. She attacks the guy who holds the knife and then kicks the first guy.

Next, you see she is being attacked with the knife and she kicks. It looks good to see the anti cutter broke into pieces. But I don't think it is a good way of defending yourself against a knife attack. If the attacker turns the knife to the left, it will cut her leg pretty bad. Instead, you can move to the side, defend the knife and attack him or grab his hand and attack him or take his knife away. 

When someone attacks you with a knife, this is dangerous. We will talk about the advanced technique to defend yourself against the knife attack. Maybe that will be another post for another day.
