To "feed" the president, the palace relied in particular on the Presidential Council for Africa (CPA). After two months of work, the eleven members of this new structure - all from civil society - exchanged with Emmanuel Macron during a dinner organized last Tuesday at the Elysee. On this occasion, each of them was able to sensitize the president on a topic defined in advance, such as education, agriculture or culture. Part of the president's office participated in this meal. Present were Franck Paris, the Africa adviser to the president, his assistant Marie Audouard, Barbara Frugier, in charge of international communication, and Rémy Rioux, the director of the French Development Agency (AFD).
