Goodmorning everyone,
The holidays are over and the new year has definitely begun ... not very well. I am obviously referring to the events that saw America as the protagonist, to the plane crashed into the sea a few hours ago, to the snow that is also looming towards low altitudes here in Italy, but also to the umpteenth political crisis we are experiencing in Italy, so as to the fact that the infections from Covid return to increase and are mostly linked to the Christmas holidays, so much so that they have been baptized covid-panettone.
But for once I want to focus on what's good and leave out the rest.
Here in Tuscany the vaccination campaign is proceeding quite well, my uncle and a friend of mine have already been vaccinated (the first dose - of course) and I hope that soon my grandfather will be able to apply too (being over 80 years old).
I am looking forward to the vaccines being extended to those who do not work in the hospital, and in general I am looking forward to doing it myself. Of course, precautions and masks will remain, but you want to save yourself all the anxiety and terror of getting sick and infecting others what can it mean ?!
In addition to the vaccine, the other big news of 2021 or at least of these first few weeks seem to be the **cryptocurrencies**, whose value is exceeding any forecasts.
I'm sorry I was so reticent towards Bitcoin last year: it was a currency that interested me a lot and intrigued me, but honestly I believed that they had already reached their peak, and that they had already reached an excellent goal. I couldn't be more wrong.
However, I am very satisfied with the fact that a few months ago I had placed some small investments in other cryptocurrencies, the value of which has significantly increased, leading me to make some other small investments.
The problem is that I realize that at the moment the thing **is becoming excessively a fixation: I check several times a day what's going on**, I'm obviously happy when I am in green and I worry instead of reds, and I would like to invest more. Like any person who tries to invest a few coins.
However, it is precisely to avoid this "fixation" risk that I have always tried to invest only small amounts that I can afford to lose, trying to have more of the perspective of the pupil who wants to learn something while having fun, rather than following that of making who knows what profits . For the same reason I always and only try to make long-term investments, so as not to have to stay at the PC every day.
Instead, this sudden cryptocurrency rush is making me lose my brain a bit, probably due to the adrenaline it offers us. I hope that it is only a matter of a few days and that soon I will be able to break away from it again, returning to take a look at the graphs only occasionally to observe the developments.

Le feste sono finite ed il nuovo anno è iniziato decisamente... poco bene. Mi riferisco ovviamente alle vicende che hanno visto protagonista l'America, all'aereo precipitato in mare poche ore fa, alla neve che incombe anche verso le basse quote qua in Italia, ma anche all'ennesima crisi politica che stiamo vivendo in Italia, così come al fatto che i contagi da Covid tornano ad aumentare e sono per lo più legati proprio alle feste natalizie, tanto da esser stati battezzati covid-panettone.
Ma per una volta voglio concentrarmi su ciò che invece c'è di buono e tralasciare il resto.
Qui in Toscana la campagna di vaccinazione procede piuttosto bene, mio zio ed una mia amica si sono già vaccinati (la prima dose - ovviamente) e spero che a breve potrà fare richiesta anche mio nonno (essendo sopra gli 80 anni).
Non vedo l'ora che i vaccini vengano estesi anche a coloro che non lavorano in ospedale, ed in generale non vedo l'ora di poterlo fare io. Certo, resteranno precauzioni e mascherine, ma volete mettere risparmiarsi tutta l'ansia e il terrore di ammalarsi e contagiare gli altri cosa può voler dire?!
Oltre al vaccino, l'altra grande novità del 2021 o quantomeno di queste prime settimane sembrano essere le **cryptovalute**, il cui valore sta superando qualsiasi pronostico.
Mi dispiace essere stato così reticente nei confronti dei Bitcoin lo scorso anno: era una moneta che mi interessava molto ed incuriosiva, ma sinceramente credevo che avessero già raggiunto il loro apice, e che già avessero raggiunto un ottimo traguardo. Non potevo sbagliarmi più di così.
Sono tuttavia molto soddisfatto del fatto che qualche mese fa avevo piazzato qualche piccolo investimento su altre cryptovalute, il cui valore è notevolmente aumentato, portandomi a fare qualche altro piccolo investimento.
Il problema è che mi rendo conto che al momento la cosa **sta diventando eccessivamente una fissazione: controllo più volte al giorno cosa stia succedendo**, sono ovviamente felice quando sono in verde e mi preoccupo invece del rosso, e vorrei investire qualcosa di più. Come ogni persona che prova ad investire qualche spicciolo.
Tuttavia è proprio per evitare questo rischio da “fissazione” che ho sempre cercato di investire solo piccole cifre che posso permettermi di perdere, cercando di avere più l'ottica dello scolaro che vuole imparare qualcosa divertendosi, piuttosto che seguendo quella del fare chissà che profitti. Per la stessa ragione cerco sempre e solamente di fare investimenti a lungo termine, così da non dover stare ogni giorno al pc.
Invece questa improvvisa corsa delle cryptovalute mi sta facendo un po' perdere il cervello, probabilmente a causa dell'adrenalina che ci offre. Spero che si tratti solamente di una questione di pochi giorni e che a breve io riesca a staccarmene nuovamente, tornando a dare un'occhiata solo saltuaria ai grafici per osservare gli sviluppi.
