Happiness - Is There a Choice?
Why, do people choose to be unhappy? Why do some people choose to be happy but others choose to be miserable? In theory, these sayings come from an ideal place. They are intended to emphasize the idea that although you do not always have total control of your external circumstances, however, you do have control over how you think. Except that this is not true at all.

When you are happy you are less prone to stress and you have greater self-esteem. Your relationships with other people are better and you will have longer happy life. Except that this is not really true in most cases. You may t choose to be happier when you have been kicked out of the house or you have been cheated on or your wife has left you for another man or you are suffering from extreme depression.

The reason why people are unhappy is not only because they have suffered but it is also because they do not understand the nature of life. It is because they do not understand the difference between being happy and being miserable. The difference is that we humans are not built to be happy all the time. In fact, we are not built to experience happiness at all.

For those of us who do experience happiness, we often depend on the use of drugs such as alcohol, caffeine or marijuana to get us through the tough times. Unfortunately, these drugs do not make us happier. On the contrary, they often make us even more unhappy. Therefore, it is important for us to find a way to overcome our negative emotions and to replace them with healthy, positive feelings. One way to do this is to learn about oxytocin receptors and how to use self-love and oxytocin enhancement therapy to put us in a positive state of mind.

When we are in a positive state of mind, we are happier. This is because we are able to think more clearly and have greater capacity for happiness and fulfillment. Achieving happiness is about having greater self-love and having the ability to turn off the negative, stressful feelings. We are happier when we can turn off these negative feelings rather than turning our backs on them. oxytocin and positive thinking go hand in hand.

The hormone serotonin plays an important role in regulating the levels of happiness and unhappiness in our bodies. When there is an imbalance in the levels of serotonin and the hormone oxytocin, our mood swings will typically be more severe and our feelings of happiness and unhappiness will typically be negatively impacted. People who are depressed are also known to have lower levels of serotonin. However, there is a positive correlation between the two hormones, so it is not necessarily true that depression causes low serotonin levels.

Some people are actually able to choose happiness. People who choose to be happy will experience happiness when they are doing something good and/or receiving something good from doing it. For example, if you are doing a service for someone and they are grateful, you will experience happiness. Happiness can also be experienced when you are doing something that you love and/or are very passionate about. The more your passion burns, the more you will experience happiness.

In short, if you are wondering is it possible to choose to be happy, the answer is a clear yes. You can choose to feel good about yourself and you can experience happiness. However, you cannot change external circumstances. However, by having positive thoughts and emotions and by turning your feelings on and off depending upon which state you are in will enable you to control the emotions you experience, which will in turn allow you to control the feelings you have.
