Steemit is getting mainstream with businesses using it for communication similar to twitter, facebook, reddit, instagram!
Following is an ICO for Worldwifi which wants to give coins to clients who will share their wifi to public. Anyone can share their wifi to spread free wifi to the world and earn WETOKEN.

In their ICO page they have communication medium for Steemit along with other social media such as Facebook, twitter, telegram etc.

This ICO is another proof-of-concept STEEM's pioneering idea of rewarding users for their contribution (e.g. blogging, curation etc.). With upcoming SMT release, many more such concepts will be tokenized which is ultimately beneficial to masses rather than big corporations or elites.


Similarly, the most popular cryptocurrency exchange Binance has similar communication channel through Steemit.

With bans from Google and Facebook, ICOs are looking for advertisement. STEEM users being savvy on cryptocurrency, it is prime target for advertising.

If you look into trending page, you can see lots of posts are about upcoming ICOs. These posts are bought into trending by buying bidbots. It is an interesting case of advertising in Steemit.

However, with upcoming Hivemind things will be more organized.

We are in attention economy. The trillion dollar advertising is all about looking for consumer's attention. Steemit is no difference. It currently has a million users. It can rise to 100M in coming users.

Steemit users are crypto and tech-savvy. Therefore, they will be targeted by the both crypto and tech business which is no brainier. 

In future, we may most businesses will use Steemit or Dtube along with Facebook or Youtube. It will be a triumph for Decentralized Blockchain.

It also shows STEEM is one of the few coins which has several minimum viable products rather than hyped whitepapers.
