Doing a little Curating and Commenting tonight while listening to one of my fav 90s band Weezer ( Especially the song below) with headset on. ### So I got interested.... to see what this 1995 band is doing today . I figured they probably have disbanded and gone their own ways. But low and behold I go to their Website and these damn guys are still playing venues like Madison Square Garden and the Fed Forum in LA. WTF ?? ### I Always loved them... but figured their music might be a little dated to garnish any big live audiences these days. But from the East Coast to the West Coast evidently these guys are playing 18K+ arenas. WOW !! Here's a taste below. Are they worth $175 a pop to see with the Pixies at Madison Square Garden ?? I like them so much their music was infused with a quirky sense of humor and an endearing awkwardness that made songs from their debut Weezer aka the blue album like Undone The Sweater Song Buddy Holly and Say It Aint So into big modern rock hits during the mid 90s All the singles were helped immeasurably by clever videos

That is if the Pixies even show up. I saw Love and Rockets and The Cure at Dodger Stadium in 1989. The Pixies were supposed to be the opening act, but didn't show. Fortunately, both of the other bands played extra-long sets and made sure the audience knew why. :)

Maybe in their prime they were worth that much. Of course I am sure prices of seats at The Garden are probably inflated just because it is MSG. I once stayed in a hostel near there, but I have never been inside. Weezer had a lot of really good songs and I can see the appeal across the years. I just paid a pretty penny for some P!nk tickets so I can't really commentate on how much is too much for a ticket though :P
