Day 3 - 100 days of value challenge!
Today's post is about the importance of involvement. This picture is from 2012 and doesn't have the best quality in the world, but it made me reminisce when I saw it.
Why does one become involved in the community, and what does it lead to?
For me it was totally random, I was a backup to the student counsil in high school, and when someone couldn't make it to the national summit of high school student councils, I was asked to take her place. I thought: "Why not?" (OK, maybe I thought "Why not join in on a free trip to Oslo for some days in stead of regular school?").
This "Why not?" mentality is something I've brought along with me in life, and I'll admit that sometimes I may have been too much of a yes-person for my own good, but I can't say that I regret it.
After that I joined union after union, from the union for IT students to the one for those with an interest of entrepreneurship to student politics. You could say I've become addicted to contributing and making a difference!
So my best tip for you this Sunday is: Do something extra for the people around you. Think "why not", and see how far it gets you!
Not only is it giving to feel that you are accomplishing something for others, but you get to learn yourself to know better and develop yourself in the process. (And it could be great additions to your resume if that triggers you!)
Have a great Sunday everybody, and get involved ♥️ ![100 days of value - Day 3: The importance of involvement](https://deegram.azurewebsites.net/api/images/1R2FwwKcgy)<br/>Posted using Deegram @deegramofficial https://www.deegram.com/
