### 5 Simple Steps to the Sentence Block Diagram

These are the 5 EZ steps to do sentence block diagramming:

1. Copy and Paste the Bible Passage into a Word Processing Editor.

2. Break the Passage Into Phrases

3. Identify the Main Clauses of the Sentences - Put them on the left margin

4. Indent the Subordinate Clauses so that the main themes will stand out.

5. Parallel the modifers such as conjunction words: and, but, or, etc.

In this video, I show you Step 1. We will go step by step so that you don't get too overwhelmed all at once.

### Step 1 Video

Pick a Bible passage from World English Bible (public domain version) based on the American Standard Version

- Highlight the passage you work on
- Copy and Paste onto a Word Editor

In this way, you do not need to type the entire passage.

In my next video, I show you how to 'parse' the passage. Right now, you see the entire block in one paragraph. There is no sectioning, no division, and it is just one block.

From this one block, you will see how the whole passage will transform into sentence block diagram in the next video.
