Some photographs around Brooklyn, NY

I'm not a professional photographer. I take photos to slow down and shift my brain away from super analytic work mode. I just own one camera. A Canon 6D. And a couple lenses.
I carry the camera with me just about all the time. Wherever work takes me that day, I'll try and find some time on the way back to shoot some photos. Since I currently live in the New York City area, I often come across interesting things.
New York is an old, decrepit city (by American standards) that is constantly razing old buildings and putting up new ones. Or sometimes they just build on top of what is already there.
I find this contrast of decay and newness fascinating.

**Greenpoint Brooklyn** Manhattan ave, the main drag. A Polish neighborhood that has become the *hip new thing* in the last few years.

**Crown Heights Brooklyn** near all the auto repair shops. Mailman just rolling on by. Do the junkyards and sketchy auto shops get mail?

**Clinton Hill**, acouple blocks down from Pratt College. This is actually a very nice area. Slate sidewalks, brownstone rowhouses like you see in the Cosby Show from the 80's. However, all over Brooklyn you see condemned houses which are kept off the market. I do not know. It is a tax scam maybe? Quite vexing when the rent is so high.
