Hi crypto enthusiasts! This is my entry on the beginners introductory task 1 of the Steemit crypto academy prepared by professor @sapwood.

**What is TronLink and what is Tronscan? What are its uses? How do you verify a transaction status (including timestamp, resource consump tion(bandwidth & energy), nos of confirmations) using Tronscan-- Examples, Screenshot? What are the different dApps can you explore using the TronLink wallet? Make a transaction (a micro-transaction) with Justswap or JustLend using TronLink wallet?Screenshot?**<hr>
<center> <b> INTRODUCTION </b> </center>
TRON is one of the most popular blockchain networks. It was founded in 2017 by the Tron Foundation under the leadership of Justin Sun. The Tron network brings the web intertainment to the blockchain and the support of distributed applications. The Tron network uses a consensus mechanism called the Distributed Proof of Stake (DPoS) with 27 witnesses that verify transactions. The witnesses comprise some of the highest stakeholders of the TRX tokens. The main focus of the Tron network is decentralization. Developers can build their DaPPs on the Tron network. There are currently a lot of DaPPs that run on the Tron network, the most popular amongst them being JustSwap, JustLend, Kraftly, and others. Some of the recent achievements of the Tron ecosystem include the acquisition of popular platforms like Bittorent, Poloniex, and Steem. The Tron network's transaction costs are relatively low when compared to the two most popular networks, Bitcoin and Ethereum, and the Tron network has included the USDT to combat the Ethereum network's high transaction fees.

TronLink is the officially approved wallet of the Tron ecosystem. Hence, it is exclusively for Tron users. It is totally decentralized, hence making it very secure. No information is taken from users. Furthermore, users can keep their private keys locally without the involvement of any third party entity, and if they want to back up their Tronlink wallet, they can use either the private keys or, better still, a recovery phrase. The tronlink wallet is accessible on both Android and iOS devices, and it also has a Chrome extension for PCs. Users can easily link their wallets with Tron based Dapps and Defi platforms for transactions on those platforms.
TronLink takes only Tron based tokens, thus, TRC-10 and TRC-20 tokens, as it is incompatible with different token standards like ERC-20 and Bitcoin tokens, but the tron network has wrapped BTC and ETH, which are TRC-20 tokens, hence can be accepted in Tronlink. The wallet hosts all the tron based Dapps and they are easily accessible in the wallet.
Users can participate in the Tron network activity via their Tronlink wallet, as they can freeze and unfreeze their holdings and votes for super representatives.
The tronlink is a user friendly wallet with many functionalities for the Tron network. It is open-source and users can easily create or import their wallets .

The explorer of the Tron network is TRONSCAN, which contains a database from the public ledger of the Tron network, and the activities of the network can be explored via TRONSCAN.
Transactions and smart contracts can be tracked via Tronscan. By just pasting the transaction hash, block number, or contract address on the tronscan’s search bar, a user can view all information related to the transaction, block number, or smart contract. That information is displayed in the tronscan, and the source of that information is the Tron’s public ledger . The tronscan also has a built-in wallet which can be used for dApp interactions and can also be used to manage TRX tokens. Tron users can vote on Tron governance on the Tronscan, and they can also freeze and unfreeze their TRX holdings with the Tronscan. Indeed, the Tronscan serves as a search engine for the Tron network.
<center> <b> Verifying transaction status on Tronscan </b></center>
The professor has assigned us the task of verifying a transaction on the Tronscan.As I said earlier, Tronscan retrieves all information about a particular transaction, and this is what I am going to demonstrate. Below are the processes I have taken to verify the transaction.

<center><b> Exploring dApps on TronLink </b></center>
<hr>
There are over 30 DAPPs that are listed on Tronlink. They include DAPPs that are created on the Tron ecosystem; due to the decentralized nature of Tron, a user can use any DAPP on Tronlink just by pasting a link of the particular Dapp in the search bar on the Dapps category in TronLink. Developers can even submit their Dapps to be listed via the Tronlink wallet.
**Some of the popular dApps in Tronlink includes:**
Sun.io, JustLend, zkWrapper, SunSwap,JUST, Poloni DEX, Tronscan, TRONLENDING,Chainz Arena, Bank roll.

Open the TronLink Wallet as shown below. Then click on Discover

You will see that listed dApps in the Tronlink which are categorized according to their purpose. These categories includes **Popular, Games, Exchanges and others**

You can click on submit Dapps and then submit the informations of your Dapp to be included in TronLink. Note that TronLink is exclusively for Tron based dApps.

Here, I performed the task with JustLend through my TronLink wallet and bellow are the processes I have taken to complete the Transaction.
I first all opened my tronlink wallet then click on dApps. I then selected JusttLend from the popualr dApps

The homepage of JustLend opened, I then clicked on connect wallet in order to connect JustLend to my Tronlink wallet

I then confirm the connection on my Tronlink wallet extention

After the wallet connection, I then clicked on markets in justLend and selet TRX from the available markets then click on supply . I selected TRX because I want to sell the TRX for jTRX.

I entered the amount of TRX to supply then clicked on supply and confirm the transaction on my Tronlink wallet.

I then proceeded to Tronscan to check the status and further details of the transaction of the transaction.

<center><b> Conclusion </b></center>
The Tron network was designed to foster decentralization on the web, especially in the intertainment aspect. Tron is faster than both BTC and Ethereum as it has a transaction speed of 15 seconds per transaction while Ethereum, on the other hand, has a transaction speed of 6 minutes per second. The network has a low transaction fee.<hr>
Tronlink is the official wallet for the Tron network, and it hosts almost all of the Tron network's dApps. It has a very good user interface and functionalities.Users can keep their Tron assets in the Tronlink wallet, which is fully decentralized.
<hr>Tronscan serves as the search engine for the Tron network, and it can retrieve any information with regards to the Tron network, including transaction and smart contract information. You can see the number of verified blocks on the platform. It also hosts the dApps of the Tron network.
