The purpose of a teacher is to educate the child according to the course content given to her by the school, the rest is upon the child to grasp the knowledge and make use of it however he or she likes. But it may be possible that the teacher was not able to deliver the content according to the child’s aptitude to understand it. Or it may be that a child who needs time to adapt to the knowledge provided to him, is not given enough time to grasp the concept. 

It was said that: 

> *“There is no such thing as bad student, there is only a bad teacher. As what teachers say, students do”.*

## Effort on the Part of the Teacher: 

Time and effort are the two main essential ingredients for a teacher to adopt for passing on the course content to the students. If the instructor is unable to deliver the course content on time to his students then he is to be blamed, but if the child has not given enough time and effort to the work provided to him by the instructor than it is obviously the fault of the child. 

## Course Outline: 

There may also be a possibility that the course content selected for a particular class is improper and requires a lot of time, in which case the student is burdened with a lot of workload due to which he/ she is unable to perform well. In such cases the school system should be blamed for not paying attention to the psychology of the child’s brain capacity. 

It was accurately pointed out that: 

> *“A great teacher can make any subject your favourite. A bad teacher can do the opposite”.*

## What are teachers being paid for? 

Many parents debate that they pay a lot at schools for their child’s education but the result they get is not satisfying. A teacher gets paid not only for delivering lectures but also to check on how a student is performing, if the teacher sees a child struggling with work it is upon her to help the child out of his confusion. On the other hand a teacher cannot control what goes into the mind of the child or how the child absorbs the information, which is completely upon the determination of the child. 

It was wisely said that: 

> *“A teacher who is attempting to teach without inspiring the pupil with a desire to learn is hammering on cold iron”.*

## Problem on the Part of the Student: 

There are some cases in which the teachers are putting their souls into work but the students are just not bothered, no matter how good or effective the instructor is, some students just do not take advantage of them. Similarly, there are some cases in which the teacher is not bothered about the students and does not deliver the course outline in an effective way. There are some teachers who want their students to be successful but all that they can do is put them on the right track, one can only lead a horse to water but cannot make them drink. Similarly, a teacher can only try her best to deliver the data in the best way possible, the rest is upon the child as how he soaks up the data.

## Conclusion: 

In the end, schools and teachers are responsible for low test scores but to an extent, they are not completely responsible for it. Every teacher wants their students to be successful, they try their best to educate the children in the best way possible, every instructor has his/ her own way of teaching, and it is upon the student as to how he takes in the dada and gives the output of it. Other than the teachers, parents and students are also responsible for low test scores if they themselves do not put in the amount of required effort. 

A teacher once talked about the failure of a teacher as: 

> *“Do not try to fix the students, fix ourselves first. The good teacher makes the poor student good and the good student’s superior. When our students fail, we, as teachers, too, have failed.”*
