> Action speaks louder than words

We have been so much made to believe these words, but how true is this? No doubt, actions do speak, but do they always communicate the intention of the person that performed the action? As humans, we could be too quick to judge based on the actions of people, but you should know that your judgement can be mutilated by sentiments, and you could miss out of the intent?

Few days ago, a friend of mine was driving along the alley, and all of a sudden, he ran into a parked military van by the other side of the road. When he stopped to inspect the level of the damage; and before he could say a word; soldiers began raining beatings on my friend without even giving him chance to express himself - to them, they had already judged him by his actions: He bashed their van.

But this was not exactly the case. There was a hidden intent behind his action. As he was driving, a little child ran across the road, and their were people hawking foodstuffs at the left side of the road. So the only option left for him is to swerve to the right side of the road to salvage the situation (and he needed to make a spilt second decision), that was how he swerved to the right and hit the military van.

So you see, before you pass judgement on people's actions, you need to give them chance to explain what is behind the actions; and also try to look way beyond the actions you can see.

The scenario I sighted above happens in our everyday life. As a boss, if your employee comes late to work, do you find out the reason behind the late coming, or do you just issue a fine?

One of the greatest banes of our lives; even in relationships; is assumption. And more often than not, you could tend to assume wrongly - of course, that is why it is called "assumption". And even on the subject matter we assume the most, if we put ourselves in the person's shoes, we could perform worse actions.

So guys, do not be quick to judge based on just actions and intentions. Remember, you are not perfect, so do not expect perfection from someone else.
